JOB DESCRIPTION
Lightning Protection System Inspectors independently manage the execution and timely completion of Lightning Protection Installation Inspections. Maintain the integrity of the ULS Lightning Protection Services by conducting inspections / audits of Lightning Protection System Installations on structures to ensure that they are installed in compliance with applicable technical requirements. Completes all assigned work within specified time and provides excellent service for internal as well as external customers. Builds and maintains good relationship with other ULS Departments and fosters the maintenance and growth of relationship between ULS and their customers.

- Evaluate installations for compliance with UL 96A, NFPA 780, and other applicable technical requirements.
- Document inspection results and prepare reports, including potential non-conformance findings.
- Verify components, materials, markings, and UL labels for selected system components.
- Perform or witness required testing, such as three-point fall-of-potential ground resistance testing.
- Independently schedule inspections and complete assigned work within required timelines.
- Communicate with customers regarding technical issues, UL procedures, requirements, and completion dates.
- Provide technical assistance to customers and internal teams.
- Support customer relationships by explaining UL services and promoting the value of existing and new service offerings.
- Represent UL at industry meetings, seminars, trade shows, or customer meetings as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree or post-secondary vocational education diploma in a relevant technical discipline, such as Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Physics, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three years of directly related experience.
- Working knowledge of lightning protection systems and applicable technical terminology.
- Knowledge of UL 96A and NFPA 780.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a large workload independently.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
- Experience conducting field inspections, audits, or compliance assessments.
- Experience preparing inspection reports or documenting non-conformances.
- Familiarity with ground resistance testing methods.
- Experience working directly with customers in a technical service environment.

What we offer:
- Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including personal days (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
