Job Description SummaryThe Logistics Coordinator is responsible for executing on shipments, reporting transportation metrics, identifying trends across global transportation methods and practices, managing data, ensuring that internal customers needs are met and that company policy and international trade compliance regulations are adhered to.

Our Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) business is the number one global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams. Used throughout all major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways, PDx products support three patients every second around the world.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Schedules, Coordinates and Tracks both Domestic and International shipments.

  • Ensures airlines and carriers are selected based on company objectives for cost and delivery.

  • Maintains Shipping records, including providing tracking or shipping history information to customers on request.

  • Prepares Shipping paperwork as well as completes shipping transaction in SAP.

  • Overcome road blocks to ensure delivery is made in line with internal and external customers' requirements.

  • Supporting cost saving initiatives.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

  • Perform logistics distribution duties in compliance with current GDP as per annual GDP Training and local procedures.

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
    Additional Quality Specific Goals:

  • Proficient knowledge, understanding and leadership for International Trade Compliance, identify report and resolve any trade compliance issues

  • Working knowledge of IATA and DOT regulations as it pertains to the transportation of radioactive materials

  • Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain/Purchasing process procedures and work instructions and operates within them to ensure compliance to quality system

  • Ensures the creation of accurate, complete and timely records tied to product

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience shipping Pharmaceuticals within SAP.

  • 3-4 years SAP experience

  • Good computer skills.

  • Ability to interface with Customers and Suppliers in a business professional manner on the phone and through e-mail.

  • Prior experience in logistics or supply chain OR prior experience in Shipping.

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced changing environment.

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment.

  • Solid communication and analytical skills, including experience with communicating with others from different countries and cultures.

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience booking shipment with airlines.

  • Experience shipping Radioactive materials/Dangerous goods.

We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $60,000.00-$90,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
