About the role

The Logistics Manager oversees the end-to-end supply chain operations for the Americas, providing strategic leadership across warehousing, distribution, third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships, and inventory control. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, optimizing inventory levels, ensuring financial accuracy, and leading a high-performing team that includes direct oversight of the Inventory Controls Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Team Management

  • Inspire and lead a multi-layered supply chain and inventory team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth.

  • Define overall logistics and inventory strategy, setting high standards for physical inventory audits, warehouse operations, and reconciliation processes.

  • Demonstrate strong reporting and analytical skills, publishing a monthly dashboard of key logistics and inventory KPIs to senior leadership.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify, evaluate, and implement strategic supply chain initiatives, special projects (e.g., RFPs, warehouse moves, retail-specific kitting projects), and process improvements.

3PL Management & Warehouse Operations

  • Establish, maintain, and manage comprehensive inventory movement and fulfillment processes with third-party logistics providers.

  • Manage relationships with 3PL warehouses across the Americas, developing and driving best practices, operational efficiency, and performance SLAs.

  • Effectively communicate expectations and needs to maintain accurate inventory levels and seamless material flow.

  • Support refurbishment operations via inventory transaction management, rigorous process improvement, and engaged partnerships.

Inventory Control & Financial Governance

  • Oversee the inventory control function through the Inventory Controls Manager, ensuring high transaction accuracy and swift discrepancy resolution in SAP.

  • Own the annual physical inventory count, including developing work instructions, analyzing results, and reporting to senior leadership per internal policies.

  • Support the month-end-close process by reviewing inventory reports, variance analyses, and financial reconciliations.

  • Manage the retailer return process, ensuring credits are issued accurately and timely while analyzing trends to report actionable insights to senior leadership.

  • Provide internal and external auditors with all required documentation and compliance verification.

Systems & Process Optimization

  • Determine proper processes for non-standard transactions, clearly defining and communicating requirements to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Partner with system teams to modify and advance SAP functionality, minimizing manual interventions and streamlining data integrity.

About you
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, or inventory management.

  • 5+ years of experience working within a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company.

  • 3+ years of supervisory/management experience, including leading teams and managing managers.

  • Prior experience managing month-end-close processes and financial reconciliations within supply chain.

  • Strong working knowledge of end-to-end product flow, warehousing, and transportation processes.

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to effectively liaise with 3PLs, managed services, and executive leadership.

  • Solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate complex challenges, minimize operational impact, and deliver results.

  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools.
