The CAM Collective (TCC) is a national network of best-in-class, independently operated community management companies. We partner with strong local firms to help them grow, modernize, and scale while preserving the people, culture, and community-first values that make each company unique. Our team is high-growth and small-but-mighty, built for people who are proactive, collaborative, and deeply committed to quality. We move with intention, think strategically, and take ownership of our work, creating an environment where smart ideas are valued and individuals have real impact.

Location: Chicago preferred, though flexible. This is a fully remote position. Travel to Chicago will be required quarterly.

About the Role:

We are hiring an M&A Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive outbound outreach and generate deal flow.

This role is focused on:

  • Cold calling and outbound prospecting
  • Building pipeline from scratch
  • Engaging directly with business owners (CEO/founders)
  • Qualifying acquisition opportunities

This is a high-activity, execution-focused role, not a strategy or consulting position.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct high-volume outbound outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn)
  • Build and manage a pipeline of acquisition targets
  • Identify and engage business owners, founders, and CEOs
  • Qualify opportunities for potential acquisition
  • Schedule and run introductory calls with prospects
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking in CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce)
  • Conduct ongoing follow-up with prospects over long sales cycles
  • Support deal flow by gathering key business information
  • Attend industry events and conferences (as needed)

Requirements
  • 2–4 years of experience in BDR / SDR, Business Development, or Inside Sales / Outbound Sales
  • Proven experience with cold calling or outbound prospecting
  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms
  • Comfortable speaking with business owners or other decision-makers
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, communications, or a related field
  • Able to travel to Chicago quarterly
  • Reliable home office setup with high-speed internet

Preferred:

  • Experience generating pipeline from scratch rather than only closing inbound or existing opportunities
  • Experience in M&A, Private Equity, Deal Sourcing, or selling into SMB / mid-market companies
  • Experience using ZoomInfo, Apollo, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator

Benefits
  • Estimated OTE: USD 75,000-110,000/year
  • Excellent benefits package - Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k) match
  • Unlimited PTO
