ABOUT THE JOB

As a key member of the Accounting Team, this position supports the Assistant Controller in overseeing the organization’s accounting operations and financial reporting functions. This position is responsible for management of accounting and tax compliance activities, including preparation of consolidated financial statements, internal controls, and compliance with GAAP requirements.

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this position partners closely with Accounts Payable, FP&A, Treasury, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to support accurate financial reporting, operational efficiency, and strategic initiatives. The Manager – Accounting also supports audit activities, M&A integration efforts, and continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage the month close process and all general accounting functions, including intercompany accounting, account reconciliations, consolidation and reporting.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with GAAP.
  • Lead and develop the Accounting team through coaching, training, and mentorship to promote engagement, retention, and professional growth.
  • Assist in managing the annual audit process, including preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and coordination with external auditors.
  • Evaluate, develop, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting, consistency across the organization
  • Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Support accounting and financial integration activities related to acquisitions and other business transactions.
  • Identify opportunities and drive process improvement, automation, and implementation of accounting best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting related work experience, and at least 4 years of experience effectively building and leading a team and managing accounting functions in a public company, private equity-backed company, or similar environment.

  • CPA and public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with month close and consolidated financial reporting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls

Pay Range: $100,000 - $125,000/yr

The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate’s years of experience and/or skill level. This position is also eligible for an annual incentive.
