Job Summary:
Caterpillar is embarking on a bold digital transformation to revolutionize our dealers' systems - seamless, intelligent, and designed for the future. We are developing a scalable, modern ERP solution for Caterpillar dealers, built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure Integration Services. This next-generation platform will leverage pre-configured business processes, optimized workflows and AI-powered automation to streamline operations, accelerate digital capability deployment, and elevate customer experience across our global dealer network.
The Manager; Digital Program will define and scale delivery processes, governance frameworks, and reporting standards that enhance consistency, transparency, and predictability across the Dealer and Rental Systems PMO. The leader will oversee a team of project managers and scrum masters, providing clear direction, coaching, and accountability to ensure high quality execution. They will partner across business, engineering and partner organizations to drive alignment, streamline ways of working, and elevate overall program performance
What You Will Do:
  • Evolve operating model to optimize scaled Agile delivery across complex, cross-functional workstreams, driving transparency and continuous improvement
  • Lead program‑level governance forums, ensuring clear decision‑making, escalation paths, and alignment across business, technical, and partner organizations.
  • Establish, maintain, and enforce PMO reporting standards, including status reporting, RAID management, milestones, KPIs, and dashboards.
  • Define and monitor adherence to best practices for project management and Scrum execution
  • Standardize and govern the usage of ADO and other delivery tools, ensuring consistent backlog hygiene, workflow alignment, and traceability.
  • Develop and lead a high‑performing team of Project Managers and Scrum Masters through coaching, feedback, clarity of expectations, and role excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement by creating scalable delivery processes and operational rhythms that increase efficiency and predictability.
  • Ensure tooling integrations for roadmap planning, release mapping and demand intake and other program needs
  • Drive creation of PMO templates/processes and leading high‑priority initiatives as needed

What You Will Have:
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Organizational Leadership: Knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives.
  • Program Management: Knowledge of the policies and techniques to manage a set of related projects within a program; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control the set of projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve program objectives.
  • Change Control: Knowledge of the processes and procedures by which a change is identified, evaluated, approved, monitored and documented; Ability to manage changes in the production environment and processes effectively.
  • IT Project Management: Knowledge of project management; ability to plan, organize, monitor and control IT projects using appropriate technical resources.

Considerations For Top Candidates:
  • Expertise in both project management and agile delivery, with the ability to define consistent expectations for PMs and Scrum Masters and coach teams toward excellence
  • Thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience applying Agile methodology, cadence and structure (Scrum, SAFe)
  • Mastery of delivery tools including Azure DevOps, SharePoint, reporting dashboards, and RAID management tools, with the ability to standardize their usage across the organization
  • Demonstrated success leading program governance, including decision‑making structures, reporting rhythms, and standards across complex, multi‑partner programs
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder‑management skills, able to influence leaders, drive alignment across functions, and facilitate governance forums with clarity and confidence.
  • Strong ability to drive program governance with a process‑design and continuous‑improvement mindset, capable of creating scalable, repeatable, and disciplined delivery processes that increase predictability and efficiency.
  • Previous experience leading teams and large scale enterprise initiatives

Summary Pay Range:
$147,760.00 - $221,640.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
