About The Opportunity 

The People Tech team is looking for a senior-level individual contributor to join us as Manager, HR Technology. This position is designed for a Workday expert who thrives in high-magnitude, rapidly evolving setting where your work goes far beyond basic system upkeep.

We seek a curious, innovative self-starter who takes ownership of their projects and constantly pursues process improvements. You should possess a strong attention to detail balanced with a strategic perspective, excel when empowered to move quickly and solve problems independently, and be dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences for both employees and managers.

The Impact You Will Make

Execution & Ownership

  • Own the end-to-end configuration, enhancement, and optimization of Workday across key modules (HCM, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Absence, Payroll)

  • Translate business requirements into scalable and efficient system solutions

  • Lead the build, testing, and deployment of new functionality and enhancements

Process Optimization & Automation

  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual process(es) and improve operational efficiency

  • Design and optimize business processes with a focus on scalability, compliance, and user experience

  • Ensure strong data integrity, validation, and system governance

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with COEs (Total Rewards, People Ops, Talent, etc.) to support and execute on People Technology priorities

  • Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams

  • Provide guidance and recommendations grounded in system capability and best practices

Transformation & Growth Initiatives

  • Support large-scale initiatives including M&A integrations, system implementations, and process transformations

  • Play a critical role in scaling systems to support rapid organizational growth

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Proactively bring forward ideas to enhance the HR tech ecosystem, including AI, automation, and emerging technologies

  • Evaluate current processes and tools to identify opportunities for improvement and cost optimization

What You Bring to the Table 

  • 5–8+ years of experience in HR Technology, HRIS, or People Systems

  • Must have deep hands-on expertise in Workday configuration and administration

  • Strong experience with business process design, integrations, and data/reporting

  • Proven ability to own and execute complex projects independently

  • Experience in high-growth, fast-paced, or transformation environments

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a builder mindset

  • Ability to balance speed with thoughtful system design and scalability

Our hybrid model requires 3 days a week in the office. That said, many team members choose to come in more often to take advantage of in-person collaboration and connection. You're welcome—and encouraged—to be in the office up to 5 days a week if it works for you.

New York: $138,000 - $145,500 per year. 

Illinois: $124,000 - $131,000 per year. 

Wonder uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
