We partner with leading names like American Eagle, Best Buy, Domino’s, The Home Depot, Polaris, and UnitedHealth Group to build smarter media and measurement programs that drive real, profitable growth.

We don’t just track performance—we redefine it. Powered by our proprietary intelligence platform, EMRge, and our holistic metric Enterprise Marketing Return (EMR), we help brands connect revenue, customer, and brand outcomes into one clear picture of success. Our approach to full-funnel strategy, buying, and measurement delivers results that matter—and it’s getting noticed. Our work has been recognized by Digiday, Google, USA Today, Inc. 5000, and Search Engine Land.

About the Role:

As Ovative continues to grow at an exciting rate, so does our need to expand and scale our website tagging, pixel support, and data quality infrastructure. Data and analytics are at the core of Ovative's offerings, and this role sits at the intersection of those two disciplines.

In this position, you will serve as the subject matter expert on marketing pixel implementation, server-side tagging, and CAPI integrations — the most critical technical competencies for this role. You will partner with client technology teams to outline requirements, troubleshoot implementation issues, and handle final UAT testing prior to deployment. Alongside this, you will support internal reporting data quality, stakeholder training, and the readiness of data pipelines that power our client-facing insights.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who combines deep technical knowledge of modern tracking infrastructure with strong communication and relationship management skills. This role is pivotal in helping Ovative expand our distinctive offerings and position in the market as a data and technology leader.

Responsibilities of a Manager, Measurement - Data Integration:

Server-Side Tagging & CAPI Implementation & Consultation (Primary Focus)

  • Lead the architecture, implementation, and QA of server-side tagging solutions across client environments

  • Serve as a technical advisor to clients pursuing self-managed implementations, translating complex tagging architectures into clear, actionable guidance

  • Review and validate client-led implementations against platform best practices, providing structured feedback and escalation paths when issues arise

  • Manage and document tag implementations across past and current client engagements

  • Stay current on evolving server-side tagging capabilities in Google Tag Manager, Tealium, and other TMS platforms

  • Monitor and adapt to vendor pixel, event, and conversion tracking changes as they are released

Implementation & UAT

  • Lead QA of newly launched tags and pixels in conjunction with media analysts

  • Traffic pixel and tagging details — including naming, placement, and code — to clients on time, aligned to their development sprint schedules

  • Troubleshoot implementation and deployment issues with urgency, keeping data impact implications top of mind

  • Understand the landscape of multiple websites across multiple platforms as it relates to current and future tracking states

Client & Internal Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary client contact for all pixel, tagging, and CAPI requests during implementation, testing, and deployment phases

  • Produce client-facing documentation including implementation guides, QA checklists, and tagging specifications tailored to each client's technical capability

  • Clearly communicate updates and key details to both internal and client stakeholders

  • Serve as liaison during UAT troubleshooting, coordinating between the client, development teams, and internal analysts

  • Coordinate internal requests with client development sprint schedules to ensure timely media launches

  • Regularly meet with analyst counterparts to stay current on vendor and client updates

Team Leadership & Empowering Others:

  • Define and drive strategy across team structure, roles, development, and clients

  • Play a leadership role on Measurement Solutions

  • Work with internal Ovative teams to come up with marketing solutions/value-add plays

  • Lead development for 1-2 direct reports

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience and advanced knowledge of server-side tagging and CAPI integrations (Meta CAPI, Google Enhanced Conversions, etc.)

  • Experience working with Tealium iQ and Adobe Experience Platform Tags (Launch) as primary TMS platforms; familiarity with Google Tag Manager a plus

  • Strong understanding of front-end web fundamentals: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Data Layers

  • Experience partnering with development teams to outline requirements and QA tagging implementations

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical details for non-technical stakeholders

Preferred:

  • Experience in a marketing agency environment

  • Knows the different SST implementation paths  — direct API/manual code, partner platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, HubSpot), GTM server-side containers, and gateway solutions like Meta's Signals Gateway or AWS-hosted CAPI Gateway

  • Working knowledge of GDPR and CCPA requirements as they relate to passing user data server-side
