Shure is seeking a strategic and customer-focused Product Management professional to lead the development and lifecycle of innovative audio solutions. This role blends technical expertise, customer empathy, and business acumen to deliver products that meet market demands and exceed user expectations.


In your role as Manager, Product Management, you will lead the definition and prioritization of a portfolio of signal processing, control interfaces and related hardware for broadcast and media production.  This role offers the challenge of creating a compelling product vision aligned with Shure’s strategic goals, bringing innovation to market and converting emerging applications and technologies into new business growth.  The Associate Director is responsible for a roadmap, supporting multiple active projects and ongoing market assessments to drive a prioritized backlog of initiatives.  This Product Management leader maintains expert domain knowledge of the business, technology and applications within the Broadcast and media production space, including media networking, control systems and a variety of go-to-market and service models. 


This role is hybrid and based in our Niles, IL location.   

Responsibilities
  • Leadership role on Product Development teams. Can handle multiple projects concurrently. 
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps that reflect customer needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
  • Consistently assess financial health of the portfolio or product lines, tracking performance of existing products and responding to changes in NPV for new products.
  • Own product lifecycle profitability.  Partner with sales, operations, and finance to ensure accurate forecasting and cost management across the portfolio.
  • Agile prioritization at the Initiative and Solution Epic level
  • Maintain strong domain knowledge and continuous assessment of cutting-edge signal processing and AI applications for audio, video and data in target markets.
  • Act as the “Voice of the Customer,” gathering insights through market research, market data, and regular customer visits.
  • Plan research and field-testing activities to gain and share the key insights for timely decisions.
  • Provide direction and validation for UX and design teams
  • Frame high value questions to be answered via data analytics, and prioritize capture of the appropriate analytics in product definition

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field. Graduate coursework is desirable. Minimum of 7 years of wide-ranging experience in marketing or product management of a technical product with responsibility for results, including costs and methods.
  • Computer Science or Engineering degree or work experience a strong plus.
  • The ideal candidate will have understanding and knowledge of audio systems
  • Experience with software licensing and AAS models a strong plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously and solve complex problems of diverse scope.
  • Excellent critical listening, analytic, presentation and writing skills
  • Fluency in requirements management and bug tracking tools, IT systems, server-client architectures.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.
  • Ability to communicate regularly with associates in Asia and Europe (i.e. early morning and evening videoconferences), including up to 30% travel.
  • Ability to achieve extraordinary results in a highly collaborative, consensus-driven culture.
  • Superior written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
  • Significant experience creating/executing value propositions and product positioning strategies.
  • Past interaction with executives and/or major customers involving negotiation or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.

Base salaries vary based on qualifications, geography, experience, and expertise in each respective discipline. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for the opportunity. The base salary for this position ranges from $103,900 to $176,700 with a midpoint target.  This position may also be eligible for our incentive pay program, which varies based on individual and Company performance in the year. If your salary expectations do not align, still apply as we are often flexible on the seniority of posted positions. All positions also include an award-winning benefits package.
