The Manager, Sales Development at Firstup will lead an extremely motivated, dedicated, and experienced team, passionate about creating a connected, inclusive, and engaged workforce. This role is an integral part of our Sales and Marketing leadership team and will build a clear structure and strategy through working closely with both the sales team and the larger marketing organization, as well as leveraging data to iterate and improve this strategy, and ultimately SDR productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Attract, hire, develop, and retain world-class SDR talent.
  • Analyze metrics and leverage data to improve pipeline generation and drive performance.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to key stakeholders across sales, marketing, and finance on volume statistics, pipeline, conversions, and playbook effectiveness.
  • Work closely with Sales, Demand Generation, and Marketing leadership to ensure the success of campaigns, while providing constructive feedback on how to improve. 
  • Build inbound and outbound prospecting playbooks using a multichannel and multi-threaded approach.
  • Leverage creative marketing and sales tactics to help the SDR team prospect and engage with multiple buyer personas across HR, Marketing, Comms, and IT in key verticals such as healthcare, manufacturing, business services, and retail.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing, leadership and the enablement team on developing continuous learning programs and education programs targeted at developing a strong talent pool for Firstup.
  • Create growth paths for team members, both within the department as well as growth to other departments.
  • Manage vendor relationships and work to optimize the SDR tech stack.
  • Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and bring best practices for SDR hiring, training, and coaching.
  • Refine and evolve a scalable, measurable, and predictable process for running and growing the SDR team.
  • Continue building on a fun culture, where people love coming to work by maintaining a high level of enthusiasm and motivation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field of study, or commensurate professional experience.
  • Experience as a successful SDR. Proven track record of delivering sales pipeline. 
  • Experience leading an SDR team.
  • An achievement mindset, intrinsically motivated, results-oriented, and accountable.
  • Experience with Salesforce and data reporting.
  • Experience selling to IT, marketing, HR, communication buyer personas.
  • Strong recruiting and interview skills.
  • Deeply passionate about Sales Development, coaching, and developing talent.
  • High levels of self-motivation, ownership, and adaptability, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Moves quickly, thinks strategically, superb at tactical execution.
  • Charismatic servant leader.
  • Proficient Salesforce user.

Firstup expects the base salary for this role to be between $140,000-$175,000. The starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
