Project Scope
We are seeking a Managing Consultant – Revenue Cycle Technology & Analytics to own day-to-day delivery of hospital billing revenue cycle technology and analytics initiatives. This role will drive Epic-focused execution, manage workstreams, and ensure high-quality, executive-ready deliverables that support measurable revenue cycle performance outcomes over a multi-year engagement.
Position Summary
The Managing Consultant – Revenue Cycle Technology & Analytics will serve as the primary driver of project execution and delivery across Epic hospital billing initiatives. This individual will manage workplans, facilitate client working sessions, oversee consultant-level staff, and ensure all deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations. While this role requires a solid understanding of Epic revenue cycle analytics and reporting, the core focus is on structured project delivery, stakeholder management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is an organized, client-facing professional with strong Epic revenue cycle expertise who can keep complex initiatives on track while developing and mentoring the consultants around them.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage daily project execution including workplan maintenance, risk tracking, issue resolution, and deliverable oversight across Epic hospital billing revenue cycle initiatives.
- Drive project structure and accountability across internal and client-facing workstreams.
- Facilitate client working sessions, status updates, and stakeholder communications.
- Support Epic hospital billing transitions with emphasis on reporting readiness and performance monitoring.
- Oversee the development of metric definitions, baseline analyses, dashboards, and reporting packages produced by the team.
- Analyze performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Review and ensure quality of all executive and operational presentations, status updates, and deliverables before client distribution.
- Lead, coach, and mentor Consultants and Senior Consultants; enforce quality standards and support professional development.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for day-to-day client engagement activities.
- Manage project timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resource coordination across workstreams.
Qualifications
- Experience managing project delivery within Epic hospital billing revenue cycle technology or analytics engagements.
- Hands-on exposure to Epic revenue cycle implementations or large-scale optimization efforts.
- Strong project management skills including workplan development, risk management, and stakeholder reporting.
- Strong analytical, communication, and client-facing delivery skills.
- Proven ability to manage deliverables across concurrent initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
- Experience mentoring and developing junior consultant staff.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Ability to travel on a project basis as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Epic certification in one or more revenue cycle modules.
- Background overseeing dashboard development, KPI reporting, and executive-level communications.
- Familiarity with revenue cycle performance metrics including AR days, denial rates, and cash collections.
- Experience working in complex health system or multi-facility environments.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification a plus.
