Develop, implement, and maintain safe, ergonomic, and cost-effective manufacturing processes. Lead continuous improvement, support product design for manufacturability, participate in SPPD/APQP, aid production and quality in daily issues, and support TS16949 certification and customer resolutions.
Job Summary & Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain processes for fabrication, machining and/or assembly of products and product components for the facility.
Essential Functions:
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective, robust, ergonomic, and safe manufacturing processes.
- Continuous improvement initiatives to reduce variable and fixed manufacturing cost.
- Work directly with Product Development on design for manufacturability for current and future products.
- Participate on Simultaneous Product Process Development (SPPD) Teams as required.
- Support TS16949 certification initiatives.
- Point of contact for APQP process associated with launching new products/manufacturing processes.
- Support customers with resolutions to concerns and enhancements for existing applications.
- Define product and process improvements for potential cost savings.
- Work with plant engineering group, quality department and production to aid in daily manufacturing issues.
- Assign work to other engineers and technicians for specific product line or manufacturing process.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education and Training
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Training in computer aided drafting techniques.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of programming logic.
- Knowledge of PLC logic.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Suspension System knowledge preferred.
- Fabrication experience preferred.
- Welding experience preferred.
- Background in developing product evaluations based on analysis data.
- Good Communication Skills.
- Hands-on, systematic individual.
- Mechanical aptitude, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Results oriented with a strong sense of personal responsibility.
- Professionalism and integrity to communicate and work with employees at all levels of the organization.

Pay Range$84,000 - $119,000
