Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Mid-Market Communication COE team at Marsh. This role can be based in Urbandale, Atlanta, Houston, or Sunrise and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.

As a Marketing Communications Specialist, you will lead the development and maintenance of project plans, and serving as a key connector, you’ll drive clear communication and alignment among teams, stakeholders, and vendors by coordinating resources, supporting client implementations, and delivering results that exceed expectations. This role offers a great opportunity to drive impactful marketing projects, collaborate creatively, and make a meaningful contribution!

We will count on you to:

  • Develop and maintain detailed risk and project plans covering resources, scope, schedule, cost, assumptions, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle
  • Maintain clear communication across team members and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on roles and responsibilities
  • Negotiate resource requirements with the Midmarket Communications Leader when priority conflicts arise
  • Lead recurring workstream and project meetings, documenting and following up on actions and risks
  • Coordinate work assignments for designers, writers, contractors, and fellow project managers in adherence with departmental standards
  • Partner with outside vendors to ensure timely execution of print and/or translation services
  • Review project proposals, validate requirements, and recommend changes as appropriate
  • Support client implementations by ensuring key activities are completed and all parties are aligned
  • Establish best practices, standards, tools, and templates for project management, execution, and reporting
  • Responsible for process execution and ensuring adherence to standard procedures and controls
  • Consult with the core communications team on client-specific communication plans
  • Participate in consultant and client meetings to define deliverables, serving as liaison as needed

What you need to have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in marketing and project management
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Keen eye for design and creativity, and an understanding of design principles
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint and Word; working knowledge of MS Office suite
