They are currently augmenting their growth marketing team to maintain operational velocity and continuity during a temporary leave coverage, with a strategic view toward long-term platform expansion.

Job Summary

The Marketing Data Analyst is a high-agency, mid-level contractor responsible for analyzing, tracking, and optimizing paid media investments across SEM, Meta, and TikTok. Reporting to the Senior Director of Growth Marketing, you will partner directly with Digital Campaign Managers and external agency teams to combine external advertising platform data with internal business databases. This role requires a self-directed analyst who can jump into an existing modern data stack with minimal ramp-time, maintain conversion API pipelines, and utilize advanced SQL and dbt to synthesize complex datasets into clear, actionable budget recommendations for non-technical leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Channel Performance Reporting: Own regular performance tracking across SEM, Meta, and TikTok, monitoring core metrics (CAC, CPA, ROAS) and flagging critical channel shifts.

  • Dashboard & Model Maintenance: Maintain and update business intelligence dashboards in Sigma and optimize underlying data models using dbt and GitHub.

  • Conversion Pipeline Oversight: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot conversion API pipelines across Meta, Google, and TikTok to ensure exact data reliability.

  • Media Spend Optimization: Combine external marketing data with internal business databases to generate detailed analyses, advising channel managers on where to scale back or allocate more budget.

  • Insight Communication: Synthesize intricate channel performance data into clear, concise, and actionable strategic recommendations for stakeholders and executive leadership.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

Must-Have Technical Expectations & Core Skills:

  • Seniority & Autonomy: Mid-Level expertise with the proven ability to operate completely independently without requiring constant direction or hand-holding.

  • Data Engineering Stack: Strong, advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience building and maintaining dbt models using GitHub.

  • Analytics Platforms: Direct experience building, updating, and maintaining modern data dashboards specifically within Sigma.

  • Marketing Analytics Depth: Proven background in marketing analytics focusing on digital paid media channels (Paid Search, Paid Social, Connected TV, Programmatic) and in-platform measurement.

  • Media Optimization: Specific expertise in combining external ad platform datasets (Google Ads, Meta Ads) with internal corporate databases to optimize media investments.

  • Communication: Excellent English communication skills with a track record of translating technical metrics into clear business insights for non-technical teams.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Industry Focus: Previous analytical experience working within the Financial Services industry is a significant plus.

  • AI Utilities: Experience accelerating coding workflows using next-gen development utilities (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex).

Engagement Details:

  • Commitment: Full-time (8 hours/day, 5 days/week) operating on US East Coast (EST) or West Coast (PST) time zones.

  • Duration: Initial 3-month contract (paternity leave cover) with a high probability of a long-term or permanent extension as the team scales out a permanent role.

  • Start Date: Immediate (Targeting to start within the next 1 to 2 weeks).

What We Offer
  • 100% Remote Work: Enjoy the freedom to work from the location that helps you thrive. All it takes is a laptop and a reliable internet connection.

  • Highly Competitive USD Pay: Earn an excellent, market-leading compensation in USD, that goes beyond typical market offerings.

  • Paid Time Off: We value your well-being. Our paid time off policies ensure you have the chance to unwind and recharge when needed.

  • Work with Autonomy: Enjoy the freedom to manage your time as long as the work gets done. Focus on results, not the clock.
