Marketing Manager, Demand Generation
Location: Chicago/Remote
About Toro TMS: We are Toro TMS, a growth-stage startup building the modern operating system for trucking. Our mission is to deliver best-in-class, end-to-end transportation management software (TMS) for bulk commodity haulers.
About the role: As our Demand Generation Manager, you will own the strategy and execution behind Toro's revenue marketing engine. You'll build and scale programs that drive qualified pipeline, accelerate deals through the funnel, and connect marketing directly to revenue outcomes.
You'll thrive here if you are a performance-minded marketer who loves building systems, obsesses over pipeline metrics, and can move seamlessly between strategy and hands-on execution. You'll partner closely with sales to ensure every campaign, channel, and asset is working toward one goal: predictable, scalable growth.
Responsibilities
- Own demand generation strategy and execution across paid, organic, email, content, and web – with a clear focus on pipeline contribution.
- Build and manage full-funnel programs that move prospects from awareness through to qualified opportunity, with defined KPIs at each stage.
- Partner with sales to align on ICP, lead quality, follow-up sequencing, and pipeline targets.
- Develop and maintain marketing attribution reporting; hold marketing accountable to sourced and influenced revenue.
- Drive content and messaging strategy in support of demand programs — including landing pages, nurture sequences, case studies, and sales enablement materials.
- Manage marketing tech stack and campaign tooling to ensure clean data, accurate tracking, and efficient execution.
- Manage external agencies and vendors to extend execution capacity where needed.
- Support planning and execution of industry events and conferences tied to pipeline goals.
Skills / Experience
- 4+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience, with a track record of owning demand generation programs and pipeline targets.
- Deep understanding of full-funnel marketing — from top-of-funnel acquisition through mid-funnel nurture and sales handoff.
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation, CRM, and attribution tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable pulling reports, interpreting funnel data, and adjusting strategy based on what's working.
- Experience partnering directly with sales teams and aligning marketing activity to revenue goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, resourceful, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Benefits
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Unlimited PTO
- 401(k) policy managed by Empower
- FFC Gym Membership ($150+/month value)
