Responsiv Overview
Responsiv is at the forefront of the legal AI revolution. The legal industry—historically slow to embrace technological change—stands on the cusp of unprecedented transformation, and we're leading the charge. As AI reshapes how legal work gets done, we're building the tools that will define this new era.

Backed by Greylock and OnDean Forward (Andrew Sieja, founder of Relativity).

What we do
Responsiv helps organizations stay ahead of regulatory change. Laws and regulations are constantly evolving—and for businesses in regulated industries, keeping up isn't optional. We build AI that understands how the regulatory landscape is shifting and maps those changes to what businesses actually need to do about it. Our platform monitors regulatory updates, identifies what matters to each organization, and surfaces the gaps between new requirements and existing compliance programs.

Marketing Director Overview
Responsiv is hiring its first marketing leader to own the marketing function end-to-end. This is a foundational role. You will define how Responsiv shows up in the market, how enterprise legal and compliance buyers understand our value, and how marketing creates qualified pipeline.

The right person will combine brand design, the ability to shape industry conversation, and be results oriented. You will be responsible for building a brand that reflects the sophistication and quality of the product, establishing Responsiv as a credible voice in Regulatory Change Management, and creating repeatable marketing motions that generate qualified opportunities.

You will own both perception and performance: making Responsiv look, sound, and feel like the category leader we are building — and delivering measurable pipeline impact.

Build a world-class enterprise brand
  • Define and enforce a high bar for brand, voice, and visual identity, ensuring Responsiv feels both modern and enterprise-grade
  • Define what “great” looks like for an enterprise-grade AI company in a highly regulated space—and make it real.
  • Own the voice, visual identity, and standards for how we present ourselves to customers, partners, and investors.
  • Make the website a critical sales asset.

Operate as an AI-native marketer
  • Position Responsiv credibly in a fast-moving, competitive AI market
  • Know how to balance ambition, differentiation, trust, and buyer skepticism
  • You use AI personally to operate at exceptional speed, quality, and leverage.

Get Responsiv Into the Industry Discussion
  • Build earned media and industry visibility
  • Develop relationships with press, analysts, and relevant market influences.
  • Create market moments around launches, research, customers, and regulatory developments
  • Position Responsiv as a serious authority in Regulatory Change Management

Run strategic enterprise campaigns
  • Identify the 8–12 highest-leverage campaigns, events, or activations each year
  • Run hosted events, webinars, conferences, briefings, and executive programs
  • Publish original research, benchmarks, and thought leadership
  • Collaborate with our partners to build joint campaigns
  • Give sales timely, credible reasons to engage target accounts

Deliver results
  • You will have a goal (MQLs/Opportunities Generated) that you will focus on delivering
  • This isn't done through tactical demand generation, but the culmination of your strategic campaigns

Make our messaging crisp and unavoidable
  • Turn complex product value into clear, compelling narratives for legal, compliance, and regulatory leaders.
  • Own positioning, ICP definitions, and core messaging across the funnel—from first touch to late-stage deals.
  • Partner deeply with product and sales to ensure what we say matches what we ship and what customers need.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years in B2B marketing, product marketing, demand generation, or enterprise software marketing
  • Strong brand judgment and enterprise messaging instincts
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on in an early-stage company
  • Bonus: Experience marketing to legal, compliance, regulatory, risk, financial services, healthcare, insurance, or other regulated buyers

At Responsiv, our core values are not just words on a page; they are the guiding principles that shape our culture, define our actions, and propel us towards our vision.

  • Advocate like you're right. Listen like you're wrong. We communicate ideas with both passion and humility. We are all responsible for innovation and believe that ideas can come from anyone.
  • Practice extreme ownership: With ownership comes accountability. Deliver on your commitments and take individual responsibility for the team’s successes and failures.
  • Measure success: Having clarity on what success looks like is critical to its achievement. Make sure the measurements are meaningful. ·
  • Make an impact: Iterate quickly. Speed over Perfection. Results over Activity.
  • Do more with less: We value efficiency and resourcefulness. Quality is not dictated by the quantity of resources, but how effectively they are used.
  • Celebrate the wins. Acknowledge the losses. Both are important signals to help us steer the ship. Give meaning to the hard work by recognizing the moments, milestones, stories and people in our joint success.
