As we continue to grow and disrupt the tax automation space, we're looking for a talented Marketing Events & Partnerships Manager to expand our market presence and drive qualified leads through strategic events and partnerships.
Position Overview
The Marketing Events & Partnerships role will develop and execute Kintsugi's events strategy and partnership program to accelerate growth in our key target markets: e-commerce, SaaS, and multi-entity businesses. This role will focus on creating meaningful connections with potential customers at their critical buying moments, while building a robust partner ecosystem that extends our market reach.
Key Responsibilities:
Events Management (40%)
• Lead planning and execution of Kintsugi's presence at industry events targeting e-commerce, SaaS, finance, and tax professionals
• Identify and secure speaking opportunities at conferences where our target audience (CFOs, Controllers, E-commerce Managers, CTOs)
• Develop event-specific marketing materials that address industry pain points ("manually doing 30 filings a month," "Avalara fatigue," "unpredictable pricing")
• Organize and host webinars, virtual roundtables, and customer education sessions focused on key buying triggers (nexus thresholds, international expansion, tech stack migrations)
• Track and report on event ROI, lead quality, and pipeline impact
Strategic Partnerships (50%)
• Build relationships with influencers and tax communities
• Manage partnership marketing campaigns, including content creation, webinars, and joint promotional activities
• Identify and pursue partnership opportunities that align with our expansion into Canadian and EU markets
Cross-Functional Collaboration (10%)
• Work closely with Sales to ensure event and partnership activities generate qualified leads
• Collaborate with Product Marketing to ensure messaging consistency across all channels
• Partner with Content Marketing to develop industry-specific materials that address segment pain points
• Support Demand Generation efforts with insights from customer interactions at events
• Provide input on ICP refinement based on prospect engagement at events
Qualifications
Required
• 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with specific focus on events management and/or partnership development
• Proven track record of executing successful events that drive measurable pipeline
• Experience in SaaS, fintech, e-commerce, or tax/accounting technology sectors
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Data-driven approach to measuring event and partnership ROI
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
Preferred
• Experience marketing to finance professionals, e-commerce managers, or tax professionals
• Knowledge of sales tax compliance or financial regulatory landscape
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon) and financial systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite)
• Experience with partner marketing programs and channel development
• HubSpot and/or Salesforce experience
