In this highly visible position, you'll collaborate with technical experts, project managers, and business development leaders to develop compelling proposals that help secure transformative public infrastructure projects. From RFQs and RFPs to Statements of Qualifications and strategic pursuit materials, you'll lead the coordination, development, and delivery of high-quality submissions that showcase the expertise and innovation of our multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
- Work with Vice President/Directors to produce responses to RFPs/RFQs, proposals, presentations, statement of qualifications, and other marketing collateral
- Organize the pursuit process and lead the generation of responses for public sector client RFQs/RFPs from beginning to end
- Maintain a marketing/business development calendar for industry and related events
- Maintain collateral Library, including resumes, project sheets, project lists, capabilities, and photography images
- Attend pre-proposal meetings, industry events, or walk-throughs as required
- Assist in other miscellaneous tasks, such as creating visual collateral, organizing the holiday card list, and helping with conference presentation decks
- Maintain selection databases, including reviewing and summarizing long-range plans such as IDOT’s Multi-Year Plan
- Facilitate a formal Go/No-Go process for each pursuit
- Create social media postings for LinkedIn
- Interfacing with project managers for project information and resume updates
- Assist with the creation of Valdes website content related to the public sector
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in writing, marketing, communications, journalism, public relations or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading the proposal preparation process, preferably in the architecture and engineering industries
- Comfortable with leading and driving the response generation process and with collecting/gathering/organizing/formatting required information from other team members
- Must possess exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
Technical Competencies
- Extensive experience preparing SF330 forms for Federal Government projects and CDB330 forms for the state of Illinois pursuits
- Extensive experience preparing documentation for IDOT, Illinois Tollway, and other transportation-related clients
- Experience with E-Builder, EPAS, and CDB 330 is highly preferred
- Strong graphic capabilities
- High proficiency in Adobe InDesign
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and other publishing and graphic design programs
