About the Marketing team
The Marketing team is a small but mighty crew of seven. We are tasked with the exciting responsibility of growing Tock’s brand and building awareness for our company and product. We are creative, nimble, and passionate about helping our customers, supporting our sales team, and attracting guests to discover and book great dining experiences.
About the position
We’re seeking a talented writer and creative storyteller with a passion for food and hospitality, to amplify Tock’s marketing efforts across consumer and product. This role will be responsible for conceiving, writing, editing, and executing marketing copy across key digital channels, with primary focus on email, blog, website and ad creative content. We’re looking for an effective and skilled writer with experience in B2B and B2C, who can simplify complicated messages, uncover "the big idea” and translate it into short form, objective-driven copy.
What were looking for
- At least 4 years experience as a copywriter, content strategist and writer, and editor for both B2B and B2C. Ideally to include the following: SEO Content Writing (Short-Form and Long-Form), SEO Copywriting (B2B and B2C), Blog Writing, Landing Pages, Email Marketing, Editing and Proofreading, Press Releases, White Papers, and Keyword and Competitor Research
- Experience in an agency or in-house role within a marketing team
- Experience marketing FOR a B2B brand is preferred, but bonus would be experience marketing TO consumers
- Background in the hospitality industry is a plus
- An envy-inducing portfolio of digital-first work including marketing and social campaigns
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate complex hospitality and technological topics in clear, concise ways to a non-technical audience
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to juggle multiple projects; heavy user of the phrase “what if…”
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with marketing, creative, design, and products teams in a fast-paced (remote for now) environment
- Ability to take feedback from a wide variety of team members
- Passionate about storytelling and helping build a growing brand
- Self-motivated, positive attitude with strong organizational skills balancing long and short term projects
- Sense of pride in presenting well written, on-brand, error-free work
- Excitement for ideating and creating in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment

What you’ll do
- Contribute ideas and write copy for web pages, digital advertising (including paid display, search, and social ads), email campaigns, blog, landing pages, and broad integrated campaigns across key paid and owned channels
- B2B communication: Product newsletter and release notes, In-product marketing, Sales resource pages, Resource Center articles, and marketing website copy
- B2C communication: Weekly newsletter emails, digital advertising, exploretock blog articles and lists, and social media
- Press releases and responses
- Internal communication
- Occasional UX projects where clear, concise, and engaging microcopy is required to guide users
- Long and short form projects that require research and interviewing
- Have understanding and mastery of leveraging brand persona in voice, tone and messaging
- Keep abreast of trends in content and style reflected on various media and marketing channels
- Have and bring to life a deep understanding of our customers
- Help drive messaging deliverables across all owned channels efforts to deliver fresh, compelling, informed stories about our clients
