Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Traffic Controller is responsible to ensure safety of traffic flow / truck traffic in the facility.


  • nsure all personnel wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Keep work area and all surrounding areas clean.
  • Reports all unsafe work conditions or equipment issues immediately to Manager.
  • Attend and participate in safety meetings.
  • At the Transfer Station you will be responsible for covering other roles as necessary to ensure workflow stays consistent.
  • Will be responsible for the site housekeeping and cleanliness.
  • Will be responsible for inspecting and grading loads.

Physical Demands / Environmental Factors

  • Requires bending, pushing, pulling, twisting and lifting material, sometimes in excess of 50 lbs.
  • Requires working in indoor and outdoor conditions which are dusty and noisy.
  • Requires working in a physical environment that will expose employees to weather extremes
  • Requires working for long periods of time while standing
