Job Description:

The Job/What You'll Do:

As a National Consultant at AssetMark, the leading provider of investment solutions for independent financial planners, you will manage an existing book of business that consists of advisors who are actively engaging with AssetMark. Your role will involve supporting these advisors in growing their businesses by utilizing the various resources and initiatives available on the AssetMark platform. You will be equipped with the necessary tools, products, ideas, and support to help these advisors maximize their impact within their communities. In this high-profile role, you will focus on identifying, developing, and retaining sales opportunities that have the most significant impact on your territory. 

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our office location in Chicago, IL or Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities:  

  • Educate, advise, and consult prospective advisors on our wealth management platform, investment practice management, and client relationship offerings  

  • Educate, influence, and persuade advisors on the key benefits of various platform offerings and assist advisors in the evaluation of platform offerings, considering their business needs  

  • Demonstrate expertise and knowledge to consult with advisors on product details, performance, holdings, positioning, and investment allocations   

  • Design innovative re-engagement campaigns to win back assets from advisors who have not recently conducted business with AssetMark

  • Effectively present AssetMark’s value proposition at advisor-attended events   

  • Expected travel to company and territory events is 30% for this position  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

  • Strong time management and organizational skills   

  • Ability to foster a cohesive and supportive team environment   

  • Ability to adapt quickly and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Self-motivated with the proven ability to work independently 

  • Proven experience utilizing Salesforce or similar CRM tools to effectively manage territory and pipeline 

  • Experience evaluating managed money platforms 

 

Education & Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or finance field  

  • 4+ years of experience in the financial services industry  

  • 4+ years of phone and in-person sales experience  

  • Active FINRA: Series 6, 63, and 65, or Series 7 and 66 are required

The total compensation for this role includes base plus a competitive sales incentive plan target as detailed below.

 

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $67,500-$95,000.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location.

 

Additionally, this position is eligible for an annualized Sales Incentive Plan target of up to $95,000.  The achievement of the Sales Incentive Plan target will be based on performance to clearly stated goals and metrics.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
