Leidos has an opening for a highly motivated individual. The Network Operations Analytics Engineer at MacDill AFB, FL supports the Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSM-O II), Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE). The JCSE team provides en-route, early entry, scalable C5 support to Regional Combatant Commands, Special Operations Command, and other agencies. In this role, you will be responsible for developing unique data sets utilizing existing tools, recommending additional tools sets that enhance data collection, developing reporting tools and reports that meet customer objectives, managing data storage and retention and producing ad-hoc reporting when the customer requires. Key elements of this position include: conducting analysis and assessments on new emerging technologies; developing and recommending functional solutions to meet stakeholder requirements; providing detailed periodic reports supporting Joint Network Operations Center (JNOC); developing, engineering, and recommending new tools or scripted solutions. 

To be successful, you should have a strong understanding of Network technologies, Data Analytics, ability to work independently, and develop process and data sets to meet program’s reporting requirements. This position also requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data collection methods: Establish and execute processes to systematically collect key performance metrics throughout each supported mission. Champion operational procedures that improve data quality and collaborate with vendors to enhance existing tools.

  • Conduct mission reporting: Independently refine customer reporting requirements and develop detailed mission reports that support operational objectives.

  • Analyze ticket management data: Produce reports on trouble tickets, including creation, response, and resolution times, while identifying trends and categorizing issues to improve operational performance.

  • Monitor network performance: Analyze bandwidth utilization, including peak and average consumption, and evaluate network performance throughout the mission lifecycle.

  • Develop process documentation: Create and deliver comprehensive documentation of approved processes and procedures, establishing a repeatable framework for future mission support.

  • Provide stakeholder engagement: Present recommendations, reporting, and technical findings to senior Government and military leadership to support operational decision-making.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ce, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.)

  • CCNA highly desired

  • Experience with network management platforms and ticketing systems.

  • Database experience

  • Education: BS Degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of relevant experience. Specific experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Clearance:  Secret

Pay Range:Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
