About the role

Provide new business sales support to sales consultants critical to sales success. Prepare new business underwriting submissions within a timely manner. Proactively working with internal and external customers to gather information. Keeping accurate case notes and attachments in CRM detailing process from submission through issuance and initial payment received. Serve as the liaison between underwriting, sales personnel, and brokers throughout the new business sales process.

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare new business group underwriting submissions, maintaining determined turnaround times.

  • Review submissions prior to underwriting and anticipate the missing information underwriting will request.

  • Document and request the missing information necessary to issue the group.

  • Update MARK proposals using submitted applications. Submit group to UW in MARK.

  • Communicate to brokers and sales team on status of underwriting, expected turnaround times and next steps.

  • Work directly with brokers and sales personnel via phone and email to gather missing information requested from Underwriting.

  • Provide information to Underwriting and work with UW on missing details.

  • Manage the collection of needed documents to issue the group.

  • Provide welcome email with plan details and temporary id cards directly to employer, broker, and sales team.

  • Accurately update Dynamics CRM with detailed case notes throughout the underwriting process; attaching all correspondence from brokers, underwriting and sales team.

  • Review broker licensing and appointment status in Mainframe and the states DOI. Request appropriate paperwork from brokers as necessary.

  • Monitor premium screens for initial premium receipt. Request premium as necessary.

  • Process new group proposals in MARK during high volume months.

  • Complete ad-hoc projects as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 2 years managing a sales application/enrollment workflow.

  • Minimum 2 years working in an office environment.

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Ability to speak and write with confidence and clarity.

  • Comfortable and confident with customers

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)

  • Ability to prioritize and work under time constraints.

  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.

  • Strong time management skills

Preferred

  • 2+ years’ experience in a sales environment.

The compensation range for this role is (based on the corporate location in Lake Forest, Illinois):

$24.99 - $36.11 per hour

The final salary offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus. We understand that compensation is an important factor when considering a new opportunity, and we strive to provide a competitive salary within the market.
