Role: Novell to AD migration Architect
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 6+ Months
BGV will be done for the selected candidates.
Description:
Key Responsibilities:
• Produce enterprise-level designs for Active Directory and Windows File Services for global initiatives following those through to implementation via collaboration with project and support teams.
• Identify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery everywhere possible through whole migration
• Serves as escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, Migration, provides guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems.
• Serves as the first line of escalation support for domain technology issues that cannot be resolved by tier one and two server support.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
• Install, configure, and maintain Active Directory and third party software utilities for hardware systems within company operational guidelines.
• Create and maintain system documentation for Migration, domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
• Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.
• Provide training as required
• Manage customer reporting and satisfaction
Technical Requirements: -
• Strong knowledge of active directory concepts and configuration, i.e. need to understand membership in security groups, inherited groups, OU structure, etc.
• Knowledge of Windows Registry, including knowledge of modifying system registry to support installed applications and document configuration changes.
• Good knowledge on Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows 2003 & Windows 2008 including Active Directory.
· Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Excellent skills on windows 2003 and windows 2008 designing & planning
• Hands on experience on migration and consolidation project
· Experience on Merger and Demerger of active directory Environment
• Expert on migrations tools ( Ex. ADMT, Quest, Migrevan, e.t.c)
· Novell Netware 6.5 Installation & Configuration
· Novell Clients & Novell Management Tools Management
· Tools Administration
· Netware 6.5 Server Management
· Novell edirectory Management
· Users and Network Security
· Netware Printing Services
· File Storage & Management
· Netware File Access
· Multiprocess and Clustering Support
· Experience in Novell Identity Management, eDirectory, iManager
· Identity Management.
· Installing and developing drivers in Novell.
· Net IQ 4.0.2 installation and configuration.
· NAM 3.2 installation and configuration.
· Worked on LDAP browsers and servers to manage Groups and Users for LDAP authentication.
· SSO Client / web Client Installations
· SSO Application Configurations
· SSO Integrations
· SSO authentication system applications (agent/webserver integration, legacy applications)
· SSO authorization system
· SSO - other implications and Migrations Experience
· SSO – Server side – Novell and AD Configurations
