Job Description

This position will be responsible for managing all day-to-day aspects of the OpenTN project, which includes re-basing our existing Translator's Notes series from NIV to Berean Standard Bible, administering exploration of the use of AI in the TN development process, and facilitating localized approaches to the same. This includes managing and recruiting contract staff for the project, editorial oversight, project management, project reporting.

 Responsibilities:

  • Oversee rebasing of published and semi-published TNs up to April 2027 from NIV to BSB
  • Administer efforts around AI development in support of TN development
  • Lead and administer efforts to develop an equivalent localized TN workflow (e.g. developing TN content in a non-English language and with a non-English reference translation; preferably open source)
  • Manages a team of contractors to accomplish this task, including hiring/firing and recruiting
  • Oversees quality control of the final product

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Significant experience as an editor
  • Significant experience with our TN product
  • A servant heart, confidence and discernment

Education and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have had experience working with our TN team and/or having used TNs. She will have experience and confidence in managing a team of editors, producing regular status updates.
