Position Summary: The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day field operations of the branch, ensuring efficient execution of jobs, optimal use of labor and equipment, and adherence to all safety and regulatory standards. Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, this role leads and develops field personnel, supports sales initiatives, and drives continuous improvement in operational efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Branch Manager to oversee daily operations
  • Lead, coach, and develop field personnel to build a strong, engaged team
  • Coordinate job schedules, equipment, and field resources to ensure smooth execution
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and profitability
  • Collaborate with the sales team to support customer needs and project success
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and key operational goals, including:
    • DOT requirements
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Qualification tracking (Qual Cards)
    • Safety initiatives and audits
    • Equipment maintenance and care
    • Post-job reviews and continuous improvement
  • Oversee training plans and ensure team members have the tools and knowledge to succeed
  • Work with the operations team to meet or exceed branch performance goals and monthly metrics

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of industrial experience (rigging and/or power generation experience is a plus)
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing others
  • Ability to stay organized, juggle priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience training or mentoring others, both formally and on the job
  • Ability to pass a drug screen, fit-for-duty exam, and background check
  • College degree preferred
