Job Description

The Associate Client Manager in the Retail Intelligent Analytics business unit is responsible for driving engagement and expanding the on-shelf availability solutions within existing Canadian Retail Clients. The successful candidate will act as a consultant and subject matter expert with the biggest names in retail and FMCG to help improve their on-shelf availability and create maximum value by leveraging NielsenIQ best-in-class advanced modeling and prescriptive analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Manages on-shelf availability analytics and insights to drive client value: develop and deliver high-standard analysis to solve client business problems related to supply chain, replenishment and in-store operations

  • Support current clients for enhanced collaborative action plan: identify opportunities within existing programs, develop common business plans with retailers and manage implementation / workshops between retailers and their suppliers

  • Educate and train clients on on-shelf availability solutions and ensure correct usage of KPIs and insights

  • Ensure the successful launch of new on-shelf availability projects in collaboration with the Product Leadership team and the Operations team

  • Support sales lead as a consultant and an expert in pre-sales process, negotiations and renewals. 

  • Drive high customer satisfaction

About You

You have an entrepreneurial mindset and take satisfaction in achieving individual and team goals. You are able to act autonomously, develop your own opinion and recognize when it is appropriate to seek alignment with others. You have the ability to successfully balance short and long term objectives, are highly collaborative and look for opportunities to contribute with new ideas.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Math or related field

  • 4+ years of CPG experience, either in research, manufacturer, or retailer businesses

  • Nielsen data experience, dealing with FMCG manufacturers or Retailers, on Sales, Supply Chain and Operations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex issues in a concise and polished manner to a diverse audience

  • Project management skills

  • Strong client orientation and professional representation

  • Proven consultative selling skills; able to identify and diagnose root client issues versus symptoms and link the diagnosis to Nielsen retail solutions, Sales mindset with the ability to proactively look for future opportunities with our clients 

  • Working and pragmatic knowledge of various syndicated data offerings; ability to translate data knowledge into tactical and strategic solution frameworks

  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability to drive client outcomes

  • Knowledge of the Canadian retail landscape and retailers ways of working

  • Bilingual, Fluent in written and spoken English and French
