Claims Admin
Position Overview:
Echo Global Logistics, based in Chicago, is a leading provider of technology-enabled transportation and supply chain management services. Echo services clients across a wide range of industries, such as manufacturing, construction, consumer products and retail.
We are seeking a results-driven, self-motivated and positive Claims Admin committed to providing exceptional customer service to our clients. This involves compiling detailed information from claimants, vendors, and other resources, documenting it in our system and processing incoming requests to the appropriate Claims Analyst.
Working both independently and within the team, you will gain an understanding of important processes and administrative tasks associated with the claims process and an opportunity to learn about the business as a whole. This is a great entry level opportunity to gain experience and knowledge about the complex transportation and logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Handle a high volume of claim traffic, including telephone calls and electronically submitted claims
- Scan applicable documents (Bills of Lading, Invoices, Delivery Receipts, etc.) and apply to correct claim in our system
- Process all incoming mail and route to appropriate Claims Analyst
- Process all check requests and apply received checks to appropriate claim
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to reconcile claim transactions
- Live by the Echo values as a positive and collaborative team member, i.e.: coordinate department submissions to Marketing team for social media postings, identify and propose process improvements, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
- Ability to function independently and within a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Customer service mentality
- Previous administrative experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail
