We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer to usher our Company and team through its next phase of growth. CityBase is a high-growth technology company that is driven by its mission to make government easier for everyone. Our solutions radically improve how people find, apply, and pay for government services. Our 70+ and growing team is smart, dedicated and committed to doing work that makes a difference in people's lives. We are based in Chicago IL with team members and clients across the US. While our employees are currently working mostly remotely, this key leadership position will be based in our Chicago office once it fully re-opens.
We're looking for someone who has an incredible mind for system design, process, and people. Ideally, you have scaled a tech company before in a leadership position. Success in this role looks like achieving a harmonious balance between a high-touch client experience and repeatable, scalable product technology. Responsibilities
- Strengthen relationships between teams to promote transparency and coordination
- Foster an environment that allows every employee to excel and do their best work
- Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
- Write, deliver and present reports to the CEO
- Manage relationships with partners/vendors
- Directly manage our teams, including delivery, hardware, security, customer success, customer support, engineering, product, finance, and sales.
Requirements
- Proven experience as Chief Operating Officer or related role
- Demonstrated 10 year+ leadership experience in software & technology
- Experience overseeing product development, delivery, and/or client experience for enterprise technology solutions
- Proven competency in strategic planning and business development
- Proven experience driving revenue and companywide operations
- Government, utilities, or related industry knowledge
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
- Ability to recognize, communicate and solve interdepartmental workflow issues
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities, with a focus on building trust
- Strong aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
