Rentalutions, a Chicago-based startup, is building a community of responsible landlords and trustworthy tenants. We do this with education resources, end-to-end tools, and amazing customer support. More than 60,000 landlords and their tenants use our platform today in 14,000 zip codes across the United States.

 

As we continue growing, we are enhancing how first-time users engage with our platform.

 

Our first Customer Success Specialist will proactively engage with new landlords and tenants to ensure their needs are being met and their questions are answered.

 

You will serve as both an expert on our product as well as an expert on our users. With help from our engineering team, you’ll be responsible for analyzing data to optimize our outreach efforts.

Your Role

 

We are looking for someone genuinely excited to help customers. You must be patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative.

 

You must be an excellent listener who can understand the minor nuances of unique situations our landlords and tenants encounter. We expect you will develop a deep understanding of our product as you will be selling both landlords and tenants on our features and how it benefits their specific situation.

 

You’ll need to demonstrate extreme confidence when speaking about our product and all aspects of landlording and renting.

 

Problem-solving also must come naturally to you. You will have to be prepared to troubleshoot issues and will thoroughly investigate problems to resolve customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.

 

Your goal will be ensuring our new users are successfully activating in the product upon entering the site by gaining an in-depth understanding on their intent and making sure their questions are answered in immediate, expert-level response.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Call all new users to make sure they successfully activate in the system.

  • CRM- document interactions and needed follow-up for each user.

  • Deep understanding of Rentalutions product. Should be able to speak on any and every aspect of the software. Also need to be able to speak confidently on general landlord/tenant questions.    

  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction

  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication

  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools and understanding of our product

  • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.

  • Go the extra mile to engage customers

 

We’re a small, but growing team, and this means you’ll need to be comfortable learning new skills, wearing multiple hats and adapting to a constantly changing set of responsibilities. If you’re looking to do the same mundane things day after day, this probably won’t work out.
