Department OverviewMotorola Solutions Inc. (MSI) is the leading provider of Mission Critical Communications Solutions for Public Safety and Government Users as well as key enabler for Commercial Communication products, making sure our Customers have the information they need at hand in the Moments that Matter.
The Cybersecurity organization within Motorola Solutions is responsible for policy, oversight and support of secure development of Motorola Solutions Products and Services globally as well as creating and delivering security servicers for our customers. We support the creation of mission critical communications (Land Mobile Radio and LTE solutions), 911 systems as well as managed and support services around the world where those solutions are used in real world operations daily.
The Mission of the Cyber Threat Fusion Center is to collect, analyze, and make actionable the information needed by the Public Safety Community to protect their mission against cybersecurity threats. The Cyber Threat Fusion Center provides services directly to the Public Safety Community and also integrates with Motorola Solutions service and product teams to ensure what we create for our customers are designed to protect the public safety mission.
Job DescriptionThe core responsibility of the Director of the Cyber Threat Fusion Center is to lead the center providing management and direction for its business and operations. This will include financial performance of the center, internal and external customer satisfaction, and day-to-day leadership helping the public safety community effectively manage cyber risks to their mission at the local, state, and national levels. The Director of the center is expected to work with peer organizations such as Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISACs) for other sectors, and government agencies such as the National Cyber Security Centre, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency in sharing intelligence and building processes to help protect the public safety mission.
You will be responsible for:
Shaping and executing the vision and mission of the Public Safety Cyber Threat Fusion Center
Provide actionable intelligence for public safety agencies to manage their cyber risks
Demonstrate Motorola Solutions' prowess as the single most important partner in the public safety cybersecurity ecosystem.
Provide threat intelligence to MSI senior leadership in order to guide business decisions
Represent Motorola Solutions in public on matters of Cybersecurity and Public Safety globally

Specific Knowledge/Skills
Excellent Communication - Written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate at executive levels within the organization, with customers, and with the public/media.
Experience with intelligence-driven operations (cyber or physical world) in either large companies, government, police, or military.
Understanding of Intelligence requirements, collection, processing, analysis, dissemination, and feedback processes
Ability to measure the effectiveness of intelligence operations
Ability to measure resource requirements and ensure appropriate value for the cost
Experience with Incident Response and Crisis Management
Experience developing new organizations and capabilities.
Ability to build a diverse team both direct and via partnership, in order to maximize the value delivered to customers
Familiarity with Information Sharing and Analysis Centers
Experience working with CISA, DHS, the National Cyber Security Centre, or similar government cybersecurity organizations
Proactive approach and enthusiasm for problem identification and solving
Flexible and able to adapt and drive to changing priorities
Experience managing programs in a global environment
Ability to make timely, objective decisions in a high-pressure cross-functional environment
Basic Requirements
Masters Degree (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 10 years experience in information security operations, or in intelligence-driven operations (i.e. Police, Military, Government)
One, or more, of the following certifications: CISSP, CCSP, CISM CISA, or equivalent certifications
