ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director of Partner Success will lead an elite team of client-facing problem solvers who help offer tools to retailers that equip them in a fast-changing landscape. We’re seeking a dynamic leader to oversee a best-in-class account management team that will make ShopRunner a relevant, long-term, value-creating partner to each of the 130+ retailers in the ShopRunner network.

The Director of Partner Success manages a team of managers who tend to their own part of the portfolio of brands. In this new age of ShopRunner and new age of retail, we seek a leader who can ensure we’re meeting client needs at the highest level possible, and bringing new product ideas to life by way of perpetual feedback between retailer and our product and tech teams. Ultimately, we’re looking to tell the story of our value proposition by way of strategic business reviews and relationships, bridged by data analysis that becomes more sophisticated every day we expand our product offering.

 

ABOUT WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Cultivate broad relationships across the partner organization through in-person meetings, ongoing dialogues, and partner entertaining.
  • Initiate and lead strategic conversations with senior contacts at partners to ideate and identify new potential products and services.
  • Successfully navigate challenges and objections from partners and turn those into product opportunities, insights, and action plans.
  • Develop and successfully execute on negotiation strategies that deliver partner contract renewals and expansions.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of partner deal economics – with the ability to evaluate financial performance and create new deal models as needed.
  • Leverage a robust understanding of the retail landscape and current challenges facing our partners and prospects.
  • Proactively engage Analytics with suggestions and feedback on new retailer insights and new data and analysis needs to tell stories relevant to specific partners.
  • Aggregate and deliver key retailer insights to Product and Marketing organizations in structured, consistent, and proactive manner.
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness of the Partner Success organization through leadership, training, and the implementation of new tools and processes.
  • Amplify the voice of retailer across our organization through multiple touchpoints.
  • Collaborate and provide guidance on account development strategies.
  • Support team through partner negotiations.
  • Manage account allocation across account portfolio to drive the most effective impact to all parties.

 

ABOUT WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 8+ years in a client-facing account management or business development type position
  • Previous team leadership in a servant-leader capacity; those who want to manage without getting in the weeds need not apply
  • A leader with a builder-mentality, capable of solving problems and connecting dots for internal and external partners/teammates.
  • 5+ years working with data insights and turning them into actionable strategies
  • Experience in the ecommerce space within the retail arena and expertise in the retail landscape a must
  • A track-record of growing accounts and earning trust
  • Experience building and delivering impactful presentations to executive-level decision-makers
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • A problem-solver who loves to deliver high quality support, someone who cares
  • A leader who builds and develops an elite team who delivers results to partners and to ShopRunner.
