Description
Caterpillar’s eCommerce global team is seeking an eCommerce Strategy Manager. This position is leading the strategic direction of the Aftermarket eCommerce platforms globally. Platform development includes activities to understand customer behaviors on the existing platforms, competitive evaluation and the development of functional requirements to enhance the user experience.
This is a senior role that will also lead the larger programs and projects for the team to define the best functionality and experience for our global customers. Incumbent will work closely with business partners, IT and dealers to define and launch projects effectively.
This position requires a dedication to being data-driven, ROI-focused and a keen focus on online customer experience. And, as the Commerce landscape changes rapidly, the incumbent will need to remain connected and informed about industry trends.
JOB DUTIES:
-Partner closely with eCommerce NPI Manager and Marketing Manager to identify opportunities and priorities for the Aftermarket eCommerce platforms globally
-Identify critical customer and business requirements for eCommerce solutions within each country.
-Develop prioritized list of business cases for digital platform enhancements
-Addresses functionality development, capacity, costs, quality, supplier development, etc. -- the entire digital platform related functional activities which determine success for current and future product.
-Leverage data analytics to understand opportunities and refine online approach.
-Act as subject matter expert in eCommerce platform development strategy, educating teams on best practices and emerging opportunities.
-Project leadership including the managing large and diverse team members
-Communicates progress on strategy development and projects to all involved parties
Additional Information:
-Relocation is not offered for this position
-Travel requirement is less than 25%
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bacheleor degree
-8+ years experience in managing digital projects specifically related to dealers, parts, or eCommerce.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-eCommerce Experience
-Aftermarket/Parts Industry experience
-Field experience working closely with dealers
-Complex IS/Digital project leadership involving all aspects of budget management (financial/budget, planning/monitoring, stakeholder mgt, etc)
-Experience in international environment and B2B environment
-Fast learner and agile
-Strong change management and communications skills to engage various partners and drive all involved parties to common resolution of issues and successful execution of projects.
-Ability to work by tight deadlines across concurrent projects
