What You’ll Do
The Executive Principal – Securities Lending is responsible for developing and executing a strategic roadmap for enhancing and growing OCC’s securities finance business. This includes OCC’s stock loan business, but other related products are in scope as well (e.g. Equity Derivatives). The Executive Principal will manage and be supported by the securities finance team, which is responsible for promoting and executing upon projects with guidance and approval from Management. The ideal candidate is driven to deliver innovation and improvements to the securities lending market.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
Work with the industry to determine product and service enhancements.
Work with internal teams to address risk or operational issues with securities finance clearing.
Incorporate internal and external feedback into the product’s strategic roadmap.
Inform OCC executive management about industry trends and gain approval for projects.
Work with legal and regulators on regulatory filings associated with changes.
Be a subject matter expert that can educate and answer questions from OCC staff and respond to relevant participant inquiries.
Represent OCC externally through working groups, articles, speeches, panels and at conferences.
Keep abreast of industry trends, including new system, regulatory and service requirements.

Experience with middle and back-office processing of security lending operations.
Skilled at synthesizing complex ideas into understandable presentations.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Experience managing a department including the staff, budgeting, expenses, hiring, etc.
Proven ability to develop relationships and grow a business.
Experience developing and maintaining financial models
Experience working with vendors to help deliver systemic changes
Experience with and/or knowledge about distributed ledger technology is a plus
Experience with clearing is a plus
Technical Skills:
Experience with standard Office applications
Experience with and/or knowledge about distributed ledger technology is a plus
Education and/or Experience:
Masters or equivalent
