Position Overview:

As part of the Sourcing department, the International Freight Manager will be responsible for managing the operations of the international and small parcel teams. You will partner with our Sales and Operations departments, as well as Freight Forwarders, to provide International support to the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead a staff of 5-8 International associates
• Certify and manage relationships with Freight Forwarders
• Complete large audits and RFP’s
• Lead initiatives to build or purchase an international freight rating and tracking system
• Coordinate compliance activities including filling the duties of the TSA Security Coordinator and providing recommendations on certifications and licensing
• Improve the experience for existing small parcel customers by ensuring regular reports and quarterly business reviews
• Lead initiatives to implement a USPS reseller program for transactional accounts
• Develop a complete mail service offering for specific customer accounts

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience specifically in International Transportation/Logistics
• Retail or Manufacturing experience
• Must have a strong foundation with Ocean Carriers & Freight Forwarding experience on US Imports
• Good understanding of International Shipping process such as documentation requirements and customs regulations
• Experience with other global trade lanes (Non-US) a plus
