Manager, Employer Brand
The Role
We are seeing explosive growth around the country in our Green Thumb business. The Manager, Employer Brand is responsible for being a strategic partner to our growing business and is dedicated to building the Green Thumb Employer Brand. We want this individual to help us attract and engage a diverse talent pool, that will help us to build our brand and culture with great talent, networks and prospective employees. You will be responsible for building the Employer Brand engine, leading Employer brand strategy, developing our internal and external employment brand opportunities, tackling prioritization, allocating our efforts and resources effectively across our national footprint. This role partners with various teams within our business, to drive results nationwide. Our ideal candidate is someone who simply loves to tell the story of the business and opportunities for our employee population and future candidates. In this role, you will be passionate about understanding and navigating a new and growing industry and build the employment story strategically and tactically.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the creation, execution, and management of Green Thumb’s employment brand presence externally and internally
- External Goals:
- Develop and oversee national employer brand events and sponsorships
- Improve Green Thumb employment brand presence externally via third-party vendor relationships
- Develop social and PR content for employment brand goals
- Oversee all employer brand-related materials reaching candidates – Careers website, fact sheet, event materials, etc.
- Internal Goals:
- Responsible for all internal communication and the tools and resources we have available for employees to participate in our Green Thumb People Culture with initiatives in Talent Acquisition, Business Partners, Total Rewards, Learning & Development via our communications platforms in SharePoint and other channels
- Partner with internal teams to develop and oversee the brand ambassador program
- In partnership with TA leaders iterate the content and facilitation of new hire orientation content and delivery to new managers and interviewers
- Partner with marketing to develop and manage all event marketing, brand swag,
- External Goals:
- Responsible for social media, quarterly metrics and reporting on recruitment marketing and brand growth, including from third-party recruiting platforms and events for paid and unpaid partners including LinkedIn, BuiltIn Chicago, Glassdoor, Indeed, event ROI, etc.
- Subject matter expert and strategic advisor to business leaders on employer brand trends, general talent trends, and talent competitor trends
- Personal brand creation and maintenance as an employer brand SME internally and externally
- Partner with hiring managers to share talent trends and employer brand best practices to assist with workforce planning needs
- Partner to the marketing department for all employer brand initiatives and the larger go-to-market strategy for the corporate brand
- Assist with speaking engagement prep on employer brand-related topics
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in communication role ideally in growth environment supporting human resources with a focus on internal communications, employment marketing and branding
- Bachelors Degree required
- Strong project management skills with a background in developing and executing new initiatives and change management with speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Strong background in influencing behaviors with a track record of working effectively and building buy-in with cross-functional leaders and peers
- Experience working in a high growth/scaling organization with rapid hiring needs strongly preferred
- Experience in recruitment marketing, employment branding in high growth company strongly preferred
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense, and resourcefulness
- Adapts and thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment
- Possesses a high level of critical thinking
- Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
- Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb
- Must have a solid understanding of the Cannabis laws, rules and regulations and passion to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws.
