Market Strategy Lead
The Market Strategy Leader (MSL), Claims, is responsible for overall vision, direction, and execution of Origami strategy within the Property & Casualty Claims market segment. The MSL acts as a general manager, coordinating all go-to-market, product strategy, business case, success metrics, sales support, service support, requirement building, sprint participation and management of a team of Technical Product Managers. The MSL is accountable for the success of the overall business plan in their market.

Responsibilities
• Develops product and market vision leveraging stakeholders including Origami sales, services, as well as our clients and prospects. Successful results will include buy-in from internal stakeholders.
• Manages a team of Technical Product Managers ensuring consistency of practice in collaboration with Director of Market Strategy and Product Operations Manager.
• Consistently communicates and aligns with division presidents on market prioritizations and risks including proposed mitigations.
• Responsible for the completion of business cases including market assessments and go-to-market plans. Determines path to objectives - market share, profitability, revenue, number of clients, size of clients, etc. Identifies key go-to-market partnerships, channels, and M&A targets.
• Understands the competitive landscape through ongoing client and prospect communication, as well as competitor and market research, in order to position market strategy and product solutions with the goal of meeting sales objectives.
• Ensures planning, requirements, and prioritization of solutions and features for successful market releases and predictable future capabilities.
• Follows and supports team in agile product management practices for design/requirement and development sprints as outlined by Product Operations Manager.
• Collaborates with Product Marketing Manager (PMM) on market initiatives and marketing content, messaging, positioning, and go-to-market activities.
• Aligns with Sales and provide support to achieve business targets; understands and assists with key opportunities.
• Provides subject matter expertise with clients and implementation services to ensure both product and project success.
• Defines solutions, via collaboration with service and operations, for market standard and library databases along with supporting documentation and education for service use.
• Performs team member review, evaluation, and compensation processes.
• Identifies, provides, and coordinates additional training and development opportunities for team members.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree - Business, liberal arts, science, or engineering; MBA a plus
• 5+ years' experience in Product or Market consultative role
• 3-5+ years' experience in the property and casualty insurance industry
• Knowledge and experience working with enterprise claims software
• Prior people management experience preferred
• Agile product management experience a plus.
