Receptionist
The receptionist at Sprout Social does much more than answer phones and respond to general inquiries. We are looking for someone who can be our fundamental culture driver, and represent the face of Sprout Social and the Operations team. This individual is the go-to person for leading mailing projects, managing security and key cards, and supporting company events. Our brand is trusted and used by more than 25,000 companies around the world including Evernote, Adidas, West Elm and Edelman.
We’re looking for a highly motivated professional who is excited about the opportunity to be the face of Sprout! This is absolutely a customer service role and so a pleasant and inviting personality is a must. In addition, you should be able to deal with urgent matters in a timely and effective manner, while helping to support the broader Operations team. You will lead the charge on answering phones, greeting guests and vendors, supporting with various events and distributing correspondence.
Within 1 month, you will...
- Independently field through most phone calls and transfers appropriately
- Develop good rapport with the Operations team and teams that most frequently interact with them (Sales, Support, Events)
- Learn to use Salesforce and Slack efficiently
Within 3 months, you will...
- Develop a good tracking system for unique scenarios that might occur
- Learn the workings of the Operations Helpdesk System
- Provide critical support during our monthly All-Hands meetings
- Propose solutions to issues that might occur
- Prove to be reliable and punctual
Within 6 months, you will...
- Learn to properly prioritize your projects and workload
- Feel comfortable asking others for help when needed
- Be proactive about asking for time off, scheduling out of office time and coverage appropriately with the rest of the team
Within 12 months, you will...
- Be an expert in fielding phone calls and transfers
- Assist in simplifying current Operations systems and streamlining processes that no longer work effectively
- Develop good rapport with other employees, guests and customers
- Be a great aid in supporting various customer and employee-facing events
- Have timely answers to enquiries made through the Operations Helpdesk System
Of course what is outlined above is the ideal timeline, but things may shift based on business needs and other projects and tasks could be added at the discretion of your manager.
