Position Summary
We are looking for talented, multi-skilled individuals who can fit into our fast-paced company culture. We are a passionate, collaborative team of farmer-focused individuals who wake up every day emulating the farmer ethos of honesty, integrity, commitment and hard work.
The individual assigned to this position will work with our sales team and community builders to provide direction and product focus for our proprietary product lines, including crop protection, adjuvant, and biostimulant products. Training, field trials and product messaging will be key to the success of this role. This role supports a predetermined territory and market area (NE, KS, CO, OK & WY) and will be responsible for the sales of these products in the region. Collaboration with adjacent teams, including Product Development and Marketing will be essential to success.
Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement short and long-term sales strategies for the assigned region that aligns with the business strategies and objectives of FBN proprietary brands to ensure company sales revenue and profitability targets are achieved
  • Train, educate and guide FBN Territory Managers & Account Executives on all segments of the FBN proprietary portfolio (crop protection, adjuvant, plant nutrition, and seed treatments), including Farmer's First, Willowood, and GCS
  • Work closely with Product Development, & Category Management teams to ensure effective follow through of product advancement, marketing plans and other strategic initiatives in collaboration with company direction
  • Collaborate with Marketing to plan, execute, and disseminate agronomic substantiation and best practices for FBN proprietary brands in order to build organizational and customer knowledge, trust, and demand
  • Guide the sales team in preparing and submitting near-term product forecasts for the FBN proprietary portfolio. Assist in the creation of long range forecasting (Y+1-3)
  • Ensure the integration of FBN brands in Territory and Community Builder business plans, profitably and sustainably
  • Collaborate with Product Research and Development on commercial and near-commercial field testing and knowledge transfer
  • Execute selling process utilizing digital platform tools and network insights, and according to budget and strategic goals


Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of agronomic sales and/or R&D experience with an emphasis on nutrition and biostimulant efficacy
  • Very strong communication and interpersonal skills with a heightened sensitivity to the issues farmers face
  • Experience working through a dealer network with ability to train and transfer knowledge to sales people
  • Ability to adhere to the compliance of all legal and safety procedures
  • Knowledge of adjuvant requirements and use patterns
  • Ability to develop strategies with generic active ingredients for crop plans and how they relate to adjuvant and biostimulant use
  • Strong domain experience and background in farming, production agriculture, retail or input sales
  • Candidate must be comfortable with technology and ideally the latest precision Ag Systems; experience with Salesforce is nice to have but not required
  • Strong planning, prioritization and organizational skills in addition to being highly motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, accountable team structure.
  • A farmer focus and a commitment to farmer satisfaction


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors or advanced degree
  • At least 5 years agronomic experience in agriculture managing and exceeding monthly and annual quotas selling directly to farmers
  • Multi-generational farm, farm hand or farm related background
  • Cross-functional experience working across the enterprise
  • Experience balancing execution, agility and culture at a fast growing business

The following represents FBN's reasonable estimate of the US national average base salary range of possible compensation for this role based on market data and placement of internal employees: $85,000 - $105,000. This position is bonus eligible.
This salary range may vary based on geography and variations in cost of labor. Beyond the above or adjusted to market salary range, FBN also offers all full-time employees competitive equity compensation, health and wellness benefits, and various perks.
