Overview:
Based out of our corporate office you will manage the following functions: LTL carriers' sourcing, pricing, and service analysis; and systemic rates' and tariffs' implementation. In addition, the role will also work very closely with Echo's Audit Team.
Responsibilities:

• Perform analyses of pricing programs and rate structures.

• Prepare carrier rates for systemic use.
• Work with LTL carriers to obtain the optimal cost and service.
• Assist internal departments (Accounts Payable, I.T., Inside Sales, etc.) in working with LTL carriers.
• Assist in the management of the RFP process and General Rate Adjustment process with LTL carriers.
• Support Outside Sales Agents and Branches in their customer pricing and solutions.

• Perform freight cost analyses for various pieces of business.
• Develop and assist with initiatives that drive growth, sales, profitability, and long term-performance.
• Support regular reporting and metrics and summarize for the senior management team.
• Provide key cross-functional support to the Organization.

PreferredExerperience:

• Strong operational background in Transportation Management.
• Management responsibility for a large set of data.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Third party or brokerage experience within the transportation industry.
• Extensive knowledge of Small Parcel, Truckload, LTL and Intermodal rates and contracts.

• Customer facing business development experience a plus.
• Distribution experience a plus.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of work experience with progressive management responsibility.
• Proven professional who has demonstrated the ability to perform.

• Strong technology background including potential experience with ERP systems, software companies, IT consulting, systems implementation, or IT product development.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels both internally and with clients.
• Self managedand motivated.
• Enjoys and thrives in fast paced, fluid work environment.
• Ability to follow through with tasks to their completion.

• Very organized and detail oriented.
• BS/BA in Business Administration or Related Field
