What will your day look like?
You will be responsible for leading and driving positive change with loan servicing, collections and recovery efforts for the Credit Union. The primary focus is planning and executing business strategies, process improvement, program management, quality improvement and transformation initiatives to maximize the effectiveness and productivity of loan servicing, collection and recovery team(s). Work involves moderate difficulty in continuing to improve all aspects of the day-to-day operations, increase efficiencies through automation and streamlining, ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements, and ensure all policies and procedures are up-to-date and followed. In addition, the Senior Manager, Loan Servicing & Collections will oversee and manage consumer loans throughout the loan servicing lifecycle. Resources to do the job require sound and proven leadership, analytical skills and ability to build strong partnerships.
Responsibilities

- Plan, evaluate, and execute the functional strategy to maximize the effectiveness and productivity of the function
- Drive a performance-based team by providing, monitoring and tracking effective production statistics on a consistent basis
- Effectively manage all 3rd party vendors and vendor relationships to ensure effective performance and risk management
- Partner with internal resources to support the development of analytical tools, systems and processes to specifically improve the effectiveness of the loss prevention efforts (i.e. Predictive modeling through SAS)
- Cooperate with state, federal and internal examiners and/or auditors in routine credit union examinations and audits. Conduct quarterly asset disposal and/or vendor audits to ensure GLBA requirements
- Responsible for full life cycle Project Management including project definition and management; definition of work assignments and coordination with internal partners; substantiation of cost through effective cost-benefit analysis
- Demonstrate courage, ability and agility to understand and address organizational transition in real-time; establish expectations for the unexpected

- Provide a structural and consistent approach to ensure that individual development plans are in place, performance management is consistent, performance management process is respected and followed, and coaching and feedback are provided on a regular and dynamic basis.
- Help propagate messaging across the organization that fosters a broader knowledge of Consumer Lending, promotes collaboration and influences constructive and positive change
Qualifications
What makes you a great fit?
You’ll be a great fit if in addition to the completion of Bachelor’s Degree in economics, accounting, finance, business administration, operations management or related field required, Graduate-level degree preferred, 7+ years’ work experience with a minimum 5 years leading collection or servicing teams, and you have:
- Proven ability to effectively minimize direct loss and maximize recoveries
- Highly effective organizational, collaborative and consultative skills
- Proven ability to lead teams to high performance outcomes
- Advanced knowledge of federal and state regulations relating to collections and privacy
- Ability to multi-task, manage complex problems and deal with heavy volume period with tight time parameters
- Must possess strong analytical, critical thinking, written and oral communication skills
- Highly effective time and project management skills
- Ability to influence without authority
- Desire to continually learn and improve approaches and methodologies
- Proficient with mainframe software systems and Microsoft Office
- Understanding or experience with how to use machine learning and artificial intelligence to advance business operations and processes
- Ability to work effectively with associates at all levels within the organization
- Previous financial institution experience preferred
