Supervisor, Aircraft Maintenance Control

Your role in helping us shape the future:
As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for guiding the maintenance control team as they support the repair and return-to-service of the Intelsat WiFi system on customer aircraft. You will act as a conduit between maintenance control and our operations teams to ensure that work is prioritized and executed efficiently. You will also serve as a valuable resource for the maintenance controllers, ensuring they the ability to effectively accomplish daily tasks.
Are you up to the challenge?
- Provide oversight for aircraft maintenance controllers, ensuring that all maintenance plans are executed successfully, and departmental processes are implemented.
- Prioritize the daily workload for maintenance controllers to meet the needs of our airlines.
- Monitor communications with our customer, which includes emails, phone calls, and meetings, and ensure that all requests for information receive an acceptable response.
- Maintain a 24/7 schedule that provides adequate and balanced coverage.
- Conduct regular performance reviews for direct reports and provide constructive feedback that promotes growth and development.
- Accomplish projects and assignments as needed, which are sometimes broad in nature, and occasionally require engagement with cross functional teams.
You should definitely have:
- Four-year degree in aviation related field
- Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
- Avionics maintenance experience
- Aircraft operations and maintenance planning experience
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
It would be nice if you had:
- Previous experience in aircraft maintenance supervisory role
- Boeing and Airbus aircraft maintenance experience
- Experience with online aircraft maintenance manuals and parts catalogs
- Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) governing aircraft maintenance
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
