Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Outside Sales Executive will be responsible for attaining new business growth within an assigned territory. This will involve identifying leads, proactively prospecting, and selling new and profitable business in the commercial, industrial, and recycling lines of service. Developing effective relationships with customers and key-decision makers will be critical to success.

  • Meet and exceed monthly targeted revenue goals.
  • Identify viable leads and manage prospects to acquire new, profitable business.
  • Mine new potential business utilizing market research, networking, and cold calling.
  • Manage prospects throughout the sales cycle, from initial contact to negotiation and closing.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of LRS solutions.
  • Utilize Salesforce to schedule and document all activities and develop robust information profiles on prospective customers.
  • Develop proposals and conduct presentations to effectively communicate the value proposition of LRS solutions.
  • Complete cold call prospecting activities to establish initial and follow-up appointments with customer decision-makers.
  • Develop and maintain an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends in assigned territory to anticipate changing customer needs.
  • Upsell additional services to existing and potential clients including total waste stream management solutions, as appropriate, to grow profitable revenue and contribute to Company objectives.
  • Complete required Customer Service Agreements, CRM entries, reports, and other administrative work in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policy.
  • Build relationships and increase LRS visibility through participation in company sponsored activities such as trade shows and chamber of commerce events.

Regularly collaborate with the Sales Leader to review activity, pipeline, and opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum2 years of experience in direct sales in a customer-facing role.
  • Proven history of exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
  • Experience prospecting, identifying, and addressing customer needs.
  • Good understanding of the commercial waste and recycling industry.
  • Strategic selling experience with complex accounts with multiple decision makers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and people skills.
  • Proficient in Salesforce or similar CRM platform and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong work ethic, self-directed and results oriented.
  • A passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility is a plus.

Pay Range

$52k to $65k, plus uncapped commission
