How you’ll make an impact:

As a Contracts and Legal Operations Specialist on our Legal team, you will help Strata’s General Counsel and broader Legal function lead and scale core legal workflows so they can support a high-growth, high-trust SaaS organization. Every day, you will drive commercial contract negotiations, streamline legal operations, and contribute to the structure and culture of a modern in-house legal team. To thrive in this role, you must be business-minded, tech-savvy, and proactive — with a passion for building efficient processes and working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Own end-to-end contract management—draft, negotiate, and close a broad range of commercial agreements, including software agreements, NDAs, vendor agreements, SOWs, amendments, and partnership contracts.
  • Lead redlining and negotiation of key legal terms (e.g., indemnification, liability, termination, data privacy/security) with confidence and independence.
  • Act as the first point of contact for standard contracting matters; triage issues and escalate to the General Counsel when needed.
  • Research legal issues and translate insights into clear, business-ready communications, including contract enforcement letters, breach notices, and interpretation memos.
  • Support employment law–related fact development, handling all matters with discretion, maturity, and confidentiality.
  • Maintain and improve legal infrastructure—manage templates, policies, approval workflows, and internal playbooks.
  • Drive legal efficiency and innovation by implementing process improvements and leveraging tools like ChatGPT, DocuSign, SharePoint, and Salesforce.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, HR, IT, and Professional Services to deliver practical, business-aligned legal support.
  • Help shape and scale Strata’s legal function, building a modern, tech-enabled legal department in partnership with the General Counsel.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of commercial contracting experience in-house, at a law firm, or both
  • Confidence owning contract redlines and drafting legal terms independently
  • Experience with SaaS, software agreements or HIPAA is a plus, but not required
  • Proactive, curious, and comfortable navigating ambiguity and building new processes
  • Tech-forward and tools-proficient—familiar with Excel, SharePoint, Salesforce, DocuSign, and AI platforms like ChatGPT
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or ABA-approved paralegal certificate strongly preferred

What Sets You Apart

  • You bring sharp attention to detail and strong issue-spotting instincts
  • You write clearly, concisely, and professionally—internally and externally
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, high-trust environment and own your work from start to finish
  • You lead with discretion, judgment, and accountability
  • You're energized by building scalable processes and improving how legal supports the business.
