Overview

The Partnerships & Alliances Director sits at the critical intersection of top-down Agency Holding Company strategy and local market execution. This role holds a dual mandate: administering the commercial infrastructure that underpins TripleLift’s global demand partnerships, and serving as a centralized enablement hub that connects executive Agency Holding Company frameworks directly to our regional sales and account management teams.

This role is inherently cross-functional, highly collaborative, and deeply integrated into our existing revenue teams. You will serve as the operational engine for the Preferred Partnerships team, running our established commercial Deal Desk and maintaining existing performance dashboards, while actively orchestrating macro-level agency initiatives, QBR leadership, and portfolio strategy (e.g. Data & Tech integrations) required to scale partnership revenue.

Responsibilities

Partnership Operations & Governance (Internal Engine) ~75%

  • Deal Desk & Workflow Leadership: Co-leads day-to-day management of TripleLift’s Preferred Partner Deal Desk alongside Finance and RevOps, serving as the ultimate business owner for commercial review workflows and contract tracking.
  • Operational Optimization: Deeply understand internal workflows to identify and implement incremental, proactive tweaks that optimize commercial processes, tracking speed, and governance.
  • Reporting & Strategic Execution: Maintain data accuracy and hygiene across Preferred Partner performance dashboards, translating BI/RevOps metrics into strategic insights and actionable execution plans.
  • Centralized Agency Initiatives Quarterback: Act as the centralized project manager and "quarterback" for macro, holistic Agency Holding Company initiatives that cut across the entire organization (e.g., agency-wide RFIs, multi-region certifications, etc). Drive the cross-functional process by collecting and synthesizing field insights from regional sales teams into unified, corporate-level outputs.
  • Commercial Framework Development: Partner closely with the VP of Preferred Partnerships and Triplelift’s CFO to optimize our existing deal mechanisms and develop new structures that maximize TL’s profitability and the value provided to our clients.

Strategic Alliance & Sales Enablement (External Growth) ~ 25%

  • HoldCo Portfolio Management & Support: Partner closely with the VP of Preferred Partnerships (70% external agency development / 30% internal operations) to support executive relationships across the major Agency Holding Companies (OMC, Dentsu, WPP, Publicis, Stagwell, Havas), with the flexibility to take direct ownership of designated agency portfolios.
  • Integrated Partner Engagement Facilitation: Spearhead the preparation and delivery of Agency Holding Company QBRs and other Leadership engagements (Top 2 Tops, Leadership Summits, Product Roundtables, etc), pulling regional sales and Partner Management leads into the narrative to match top-down strategy with ground-level, bottoms-up campaign performance.
Education & Requirements
  • 7+ years of professional experience in programmatic advertising, adtech, or media agency partnership management.
  • Mandatory Agency Partnership Background: Must have directly held an Agency Partnership or Alliance role in the past, with a proven track record of successfully navigating the unique structural complexities, internal politics, and matrixed layers of major Agency HoldCos.
  • Established Executive Rolodex: Holds deep, existing relationships with key programmatic stake-holders, Centers of Excellence (COEs), and investment/data decision-makers across the "Big Six" holding companies.
  • Strong baseline of commercial operational experience. Fluent in running structured processes like a commercial Deal Desk, pipeline tracking systems, or contract operations.
  • Analytical literacy to interpret dashboard data, maintain pipeline sheets, and spot commercial macro-trends without needing to build backend data models from scratch.
  • A collaborative, service-oriented mindset. This role is built to enable, clarify, and fuel the regional sales verticals, not to close business in a vacuum. In addition to sales support, this role also requires an extensive cross-functional involvement with Legal, Customer Success, RevOps, Finance and Product.
