Northrop Grumman is looking for a Payroll Assistant (Level 4) for our Irving, Texas location. This position will be located in Irving and will not offer full time telecommuting.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Load and validate supplemental pay request
  • Perform research on demand
  • Provide Customer Service
  • Serve as Sector POC support
  • Resolve audit findings each payroll process
  • Respond to inquiries from customers within SLA
  • PeformBasic Ad hoc query request
  • Assist with creating scenario-based audit reports
  • Write test scripts and perform assigned project duties to support the departmental goals and objectives

This position will require candidates with effective verbally and written communication. Candidates must posses a strong characteristic for attention to detail and accuracy and problem-solving; organizing and prioritizing work demands in order to meet critical deadlines. Candidates must be able to work in a team environment.

Basic Qualifications 

  • High school diploma & 4 years of related education, i.e.: business or accounting and/or relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite (excel, word, and PowerPoint)
  • Payroll processing experience including relevant regulatory requirements; internal policy and procedure; accounting practices; system software requirements
  • Knowledge of FLSA, federal and state laws, etc.
  • Experience peforming basic payroll calculations
  • Experience pperating a personal computer including standard software and some specialized accounting software
  • 1 year of experience involving extensive payroll duties
  • Certified Payroll Professional Certification [1 year completion requirement]

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project team member
  • SAP experience
  • Prior experience working in a shared service or center of excellence environment

Salary Range: $55,700.00 - $92,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
