About the Role:
BlackEdge Capital is looking for a resourceful individual to join its Peoples Operations team. This role will support the employee lifecycle; from onboarding to offboarding, HR processes, culture initiatives, employee engagement and beyond. This role will work closely with our Director of Operations and Leadership Team to ensure our people and operational processes run smoothly. Given the size of the firm, there is frequent cross collaboration with other departments. We hold a strong belief that operational excellence is at the core of our success as a firm, and this role reflects that through the fun, impactful, and collaborative work that defines great operations!

What You’ll Do:

  • Support HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, compliance documentation, and policy updates and revisions
  • Maintain and improve employee records, HR systems, and processes
  • Help coordinate benefits administration, PTO tracking, and payroll changes
  • Partner with leadership on people-related initiatives, performance reviews, employee engagement efforts, events, and internal communications.
  • Assist with recruiting coordination, offer letters, and background check processes as needed.
  • Own employee experience logistics: anniversaries, new hire setups, and milestone celebrations.
  • Identify and research opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency across HR and other operational processes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1-3 years of HR, people operations, or administrative experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism 
  • Familiarity with web-based corporate tools 
  • A proactive mindset, you see what needs to get done and make it happen.
