Training Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Training Manager to serve as the primary liaison between IQVIA and our client, driving the development and execution of high-impact training programs. This role is instrumental in ensuring the successful launch and ongoing performance of the sales team through the delivery of comprehensive learning solutions, including product, disease state, marketplace, and advanced selling skills training.

The ideal candidate will bring strong collaboration and consulting capabilities, partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, and Leadership to identify performance gaps and deliver targeted training initiatives. This individual will play a key role in enhancing field effectiveness by equipping Primary Care Sales Professionals with the knowledge, scientific expertise, and business acumen needed to engage customers and deliver value-driven solutions.

Success in this role requires a passion for adult learning, strong facilitation and coaching skills, and the ability to translate insights into actionable training strategies—all while ensuring alignment with client expectations, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals.

Role Expectations

  • Responsible for the development, approval, and delivery of disease state, treatment, product and marketplace training, as well as, foundational and advanced sales skills training
  • Consult with Sales Leadership to identify appropriate training needs/gaps that will support the achievement of department/organization goals.
  • Develop strong and effective relationships across the Client and IQVIA organizations to provide learning solutions that support performance.
  • Keep current on trends and developments in the fields of training, performance improvement, and organizational learning, while maintaining/building contacts with training vendors/training professionals.
  • Monitor course evaluations and compliance to gather metrics for the continuous improvement and performance.
  • Demonstrate effective platform skills when facilitating meetings or delivering training to maximize the impact of the session and ensure that information is communicated consistently.
  • Field travel to coach individual Primary Care Sales Representatives.
  • Demonstrate selling skills regarding the client’s portfolio to understand and meet the customer’s needs by providing appropriate solutions.
  • Remain current on product knowledge, marketplace conditions, and stakeholder practices to deliver the most effective delivery of materials.
  • Demonstrate fluency in field reporting tools and can provide training to improve representative’s business acumen skills and knowledge.
  • Continually develops and applies knowledge of adult learning principles, and new learning techniques to best meet learners’ needs.

A Qualified Candidate for Training Manager shall meet the following minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2+ years as a Sales Trainer and 2 years leading Sales Training operations for a national sales force required.
  • Ability to travel >70% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years Field Pharmaceutical Sales and/or Management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated drive and initiative to identify and deliver on goals and assignments.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of technological resources; examples include Teams, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver’s license required in State of residence.

The potential base pay range for this role is 120-150K annually. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
