Job Description:

As a Pharmacist Go Live Specialist Team member, you will play a critical role in the successful deployment and integration of MEDITECH EHR systems within HCA Healthcare organizations. This dynamic position involves extensive travel and collaboration with diverse teams to ensure seamless implementation and user adoption. You will receive comprehensive training and support to become proficient in MEDITECH functionality and provide at-the-elbow support during go-live phases.

This role is ideal for inpatient pharmacists with strong operational workflow knowledge, end-user support capabilities, and experience working within electronic health record (EHR) environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams to provide onsite go-live support for MEDITECH Expanse implementation projects across HCA Healthcare facilities.
  • Participate in workflow decisions and trainings.
  • Offer at-the-elbow support during go-live phases to assist users with system navigation, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization.
  • Support onsite pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, nurses, and other clinical end users with medication-related workflows within the EHR.
  • Assist with issue triage, escalation, and resolution during activation events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address technical issues and optimize system performance.
  • Document issues and resolutions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Participate in continuous learning and development to stay updated on MEDITECH advancements and industry trends.
  • Provide guidance related to inpatient pharmacy workflows, including medication verification, IV workflows, automated dispensing systems, and order management processes.
  • Support adoption and stabilization efforts during high-volume go-live periods, including day, evening, or night shift coverage as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Active U.S.-based Pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Recent inpatient pharmacy experience required.
  • Hands-on experience with inpatient medication workflows, including:
  • Medication order verification and dispensing workflows
  • IV compounding and IV workflow processes
  • Automated dispensing systems (e.g., Pyxis or similar technologies)
  • Prior experience working within an Electronic Health Record (EHR) environment required.
  • MEDITECH experience preferred but not required.
  • Prior EHR implementation support experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to provide go-live support activities, including at-the-elbow support, issue triage, and end-user guidance.
  • Availability to work night shifts during go-live events.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and foster positive relationships with clients and team members.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to client sites nationwide.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing project requirements and deadlines.

Education:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university required.
