About Stance Health

Stance Health is expanding access to evidence-based behavioral health care for people living with chronic pain. Chronic pain is one of the most common, costly, and emotionally overwhelming conditions in healthcare. Many patients cycle through medications, procedures, imaging, and specialist visits without getting the support they need to address the psychological and emotional side of pain.

Stance Health partners with physicians and care teams to make it easier for patients to access specialized pain-focused behavioral health care. We help providers give their patients a trusted next step, while creating a smoother referral, scheduling, and follow-up experience.

We already have meaningful traction and growing demand across Michigan. We are looking for a Physician Liaison who can help supercharge that growth and become a key part of our team as we scale.

Role Overview

As a Physician Liaison, you will be the relationship-builder between Stance Health and referring provider offices.

You will educate physicians, practice managers, referral coordinators, and clinical staff on how Stance Health supports their patients, strengthens their care plans, and makes the referral process simple. This role is part relationship-building, part healthcare operations, and part mission-driven storytelling.

We are looking for someone who genuinely believes in the impact Stance Health can have on patients’ lives and is excited to share that story with physicians and care teams.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, practice managers, referral coordinators, and clinical staff

  • Conduct in-person and virtual visits with provider offices to educate teams on Stance Health’s services, patient fit, care pathways, and referral process

  • Increase referral volume by identifying opportunities, addressing barriers, and improving the provider experience

  • Help physicians understand the emotional, functional, and clinical impact Stance Health can have for patients living with chronic pain

  • Serve as a trusted day-to-day point of contact for provider questions, follow-ups, issue resolution, and service recovery

  • Track outreach activity, referral trends, follow-ups, account notes, and next steps in our CRM

  • Stay highly organized with provider follow-ups, meeting notes, lunch/event scheduling, referral tracking, and territory management

  • Support onboarding of new referring practices, including workflow mapping, staff training, and referral process setup

  • Share insights from the field with leadership to help improve our growth strategy, provider experience, and internal operations

  • Optional: Represent Stance Health at local healthcare events, meetings, lunches, and community networking opportunities

  • Ensure all outreach and provider interactions align with applicable healthcare regulations and company policies

What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in healthcare outreach, provider relations, medical sales, pharma sales, practice operations, community outreach, or a related field

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build credibility quickly

  • A genuine interest in healthcare and helping patients access better care

  • Someone who is mission-driven and excited by the opportunity to improve patients’ lives

  • Comfortable communicating with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative teams

  • Professional presence with a service-oriented, solutions-first mindset

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, especially around follow-ups, documentation, CRM updates, and coordination

  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based role and managing a territory effectively

  • Ability to explain Stance Health clearly and tailor messaging to different audiences

  • Proficiency with basic business tools such as email, calendars, spreadsheets, and CRM systems

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally within Michigan

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with physician practices, referral workflows, patient scheduling, or authorization processes

  • Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare compliance expectations

  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Attio, or similar systems

  • Background in healthcare marketing, community outreach, account management, or medical sales

  • Experience organizing provider lunches, office visits, referral campaigns, or local healthcare events

Success in This Role Looks Like
  • Provider offices view you as responsive, reliable, organized, and easy to work with

  • Physicians understand when to refer to Stance Health and feel confident sending patients to us

  • You keep clean, accurate CRM records that help the company scale its growth engine

  • Referral processes become clearer, faster, and more consistent across your territory

  • You consistently meet outreach, visit, follow-up, and relationship-building goals

  • You help increase referral volume from both new and existing provider relationships

  • You identify and resolve provider issues quickly, improving both provider and patient experience

  • You bring back actionable insights from the field that improve Stance Health’s operations, messaging, and growth strategy

Why Join Stance Health

This is an opportunity to join a growing healthcare company with real traction, a meaningful mission, and a clear need in the market. You will not just be “selling” a service. You will be helping physicians connect patients with care that can meaningfully improve their pain, functioning, mental health, and quality of life.

As Stance Health grows, this role has the potential to grow with it. We are looking for someone who wants to take ownership, build strong healthcare relationships, and play a meaningful role in scaling access to specialized pain-focused behavioral health care.
